Review: I purchased a vehicle that include two tops, a hard top and a soft top! When I got home the soft top was for the two door version , & the vehicle I purchased is a four door modelDesired Settlement: I expect to get either the dollar value of the replacement ($1,500), or the correct soft top for my vehicle

Review: I brought my car to Huntington Honda due to knocking noise in engine. On the way to service station, engine seized and had to be towed to station. Engine tear down was conducted by Huntington Honda and it was determined that a replacement engine was necessary. I agreed to pay $3700 for a replacement engine with 45,000 miles. Upon pickup on February **, 2016, I received a multipoint checklist inspection, which noted that all aspects based and that brakes would need replacement soon and air filter needed to be replaced. I drove the car away and heard a noise when car was in low gear and idle. I immediately called service station and was told to bring car back. Upon arrival, was told that there were no mechanics who specialized in engines to check the car. I dropped the car off to my regular mechanic to check brakes and air filter. I received a call from mechanic on February **, stating that a full quart of oil was found in the engine bay. The mechanic documented this in our records and took photos as evidence. Upon receiving this information I contacted Huntington Honda to rectify this situation and left a message with Lillian to give to the service manager Jerome. I followed up on Monday February ** and did not receive a call back from Jerome. I again followed up on Wednesday and have not received a call back from Jerome. I would like an adjustment on this bill for negligent service.Desired Settlement: Billing adjustment due to negligent work that may have resulted in further damage to my car. I would also like reimbursement for additional work (air filter) performed by other mechanic that should have been included with the engine replacement.

Review: I purchased a Certified 2011 Honda Accord from Huntington Honda in April. When purchasing I was given an option to buy a Honda Care Extended Warranty. Initially, I told [redacted] (the [redacted] there) that I was going to buy it from another dealership that was offering a much better pricing. He said that Huntington Honda (the dealership I purchased the car from) is the only dealership that would offer the 8 yr extended warranty (8 years starting April 2014 and therefore going through to 2022) and it must be bought at the time of the purchase. No other dealership would be able to provide 8yr extended warranty. When I did some more research, I found out that everyone else was only offering additional 5 years warranty (going through till April 2019). I agreed and we made all the necessary paperwork/payments/etc.

Afterwards, a month or so later - I received all the paperwork from Honda corporation for the warranty. However, the paperwork received from Honda corporation suggested that my car is only covered till 2019 (a 5 year warranty). I called up [redacted] (the [redacted] at Huntington Honda) and he said that there was a mistake and he will speak to Honda Care and get back to me and if he can't resolve he will give me a refund for the variance. Since then I have tried calling him several times and tried going to the dealership several times. I have left countless voicemails and have asked reception area to have him call me back. After months of trying to get in touch with him - I have no choice but to take some other action, therefore, i'm reaching out to Revdex.com hoping they can help.

I would highly recommend other readers to be very cautious doing business with Huntington Honda and pay extra attention to all the paperwork. I would have never caught this if I had not read all the detailed material Honda Care provided.Desired Settlement: I am requesting that Huntington Honda give me the variance that I was charged between 5 years and 8 years and matching the competitive pricing the other dealers were offering.

Review: When we purchased our 2010 Honda element fron Huntington Honda we were coerced into purchasing a five year warranty with the promise if we do not use it before the five years or 72,000 miles are up we would receive the full $995. back that we payed for the warranty. Against our better judgement after being strongarmed by the [redacted], sales person and [redacted], I purchased it.

Now that I have paid off the loan the sales person at Huntington honda and the warranty company both are telling me they have no record of this.Desired Settlement: We have bought four cars from Huntington Honda since 1997 and have had all four of them, including the two we own now only serviced there. If they will not refund me the $995. then I would like that amount in credit at Huntington Honda for further servicing of the two vehicles I have now. I have spent well over a $100,000 at this dealership since 1997.

Review: I have brought my car to Huntington Honda on 2 separate occasions to get front end work done on my 2004 Honda Civic LX. First time Octobe[redacted] bushings done which cost me 597.38 . On December [redacted] I went to get my front end struts replaced which cost an additional 763.53. Then after they completed the front end struts I was dissatisfied with the work because I began to hear the same noise that I heard when I first brought it in to be repaired. Honda look at my car and then explained to me that the problem was that I need to get the strut towers replaced which cost another 1001.42 plus tax . I did not feel that they completed the job properly and that they are trying to take advantage. I would like Honda to fixed my car properly because I do not they did.Desired Settlement: I want Honda to fix my car and not try to keep charging me more money for additional work that I don't feel that I need done.

My wife & daughter visited the dealer on Sunday afternoon Aug [redacted] 2015. My wife was not well but we needed to buy a Car for my daughter today. The Sales Manager by the name of Mohammed was extremely rude & MCP. He insulted & harassed my wife, used derogatory language, shouted & literally threw them out of the showroom. She was reduced to tears & was very upset. My wife tried to find another manager she could talk to & complaint but was denied all courtesies & was told to leave.

Would like to File an official Complaint against the Sales Person & Dealership.

Never Visit this Dealer.

Review: I purchased a certified pre-owned 2012 Honda Accord from them on 3/**/2015. They switched me to a co-signer of the vehicle and my father as the buyer although I was the one purchasing the car. They did not give a reason as to why they did this. I told the sales associate that I specifically did not want any additional service agreements or warranties. When the financial [redacted] switched buyers he somehow also added a service contract/warranty under my dad and my name. I asked about it and he said it was included in the price that we agreed upon and I was not being charged additionally for it. He had actually included when he was giving the break down of the monthly payments as they seemed high but he claimed I could refinance after ten payments which would make my total the I paid around what we agreed upon for the car. In reality the service contract was an additional charge which was taken from my down payment and that is really why the monthly payments seemed higher. The [redacted]'s claim about the price assumed I would later get a great refinancing deal and not the actual price I was agreeing to pay currently. I later realized I had agreed to a $1,995 service contract, but it stated the contract could be cancelled within 60 days for a full refund. I called the dealership one week later to cancel it , but the person on the phone said the sales associate was unavailable he would call me back soon. I called back two weeks after the previous call and I got the sales associate on the phone and he said I would have talk to the [redacted] and said he did not really know anything know anything about the contract. I said I could come in person, but he said it was unnecessary. He said the [redacted] would call me in a little while and to call back later if I did not receive a call in two hours. I never received a call so I called and the person on the phone said the sales associate was unavailable and I did not have time to try to call them again that day. A few weeks as I had been extremely busy the last few weeks I tried again to cancel it. I went in person to cancel it with my father who is also extremely busy despite having to take time off work and taking the long drive there which is why I did not go in person sooner. I found the sales associate and told him I wanted to cancel the contract since it was getting close to the end of the 60 days. He tried to find the [redacted] that signed me up for the contract, but couldn't find him and told me was not here today although he was supposed to be and got a different [redacted] involved. The other [redacted] said he was unable to do it since before 60 days only the original [redacted] can cancel it. He said the original [redacted] would be there tomorrow which was the last day to cancel the contract for a full refund. He said it was not a problem at all and assured me cancelling the contract would take less than 5 minutes and would easily be taken care of tomorrow. On the service contract itself it states may be cancelled through a written request so I decided to mail a written request along with the required notarized odometer reading on the same day which was one day before the contract cannot be cancelled for a full refund. They most likely received the letter the day the last day the contract can be refunded. I also made a second long trip the last day with my father as he was the main party to the contract. I got there and talked to the sales associate. He said the [redacted] would be with me shortly as he was with a customer. The other [redacted] I had met the day before happened to see me after I had waited over 30 minutes and asked to view the contract and see if he could help speed up the process. He took the contract for 5 minutes and said everything looks good and said the original [redacted] would be with me in about 10 minutes. I waited about 45 minutes when the original [redacted] finally showed up. He asked what I was here for and I told him I was here to cancel the service contract which I gave to him. He stated that unfortunately that his accounting office was closed for the day and he could not cancel it today. I pointed out the contract it states clearly that it may be cancelled at any time. He told me to come back on Friday. He said he will arrive at 1pm and the accounting office closes at 4pm. I have made a total of 6 attempts to cancel this contract which I did not even desire and was misled into agreeing to. I will have to take off work again to attempt to cancel the contract which would be the 7th attempt and I will no longer receive a full refund.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the full amount I paid for the service contract back to my debit card which the payment was taken from. I would like it back in full within 3-5 business days like a normal refund. I would like an apology for constantly being turned away when attempting to cancel the contract and having to waste my father and my time to go there and have to leave work early costing me money for a futile exercise.

Sincerely,

Review: I purchased a 2014 Honda Odyssey from this dealership. During the sales pitch, the salesman told me about a feature that does not exist on the model that he sold me. I did not know this until I tried to figure out how to use the hard disk drive. When I contacted him he told me that the model I purchased did jot have the hard disk drive. Additionally, the dealership installed a dvd system that does not operate as was explained to me during the sales pitch. If I had known that these two differences would exist I would not have purchased the vehicle.Desired Settlement: I feel as though I should have a vehicle with the features described to me at the time of the sale or a full reimbursement of the price I paid so that I can go elsewhere to find a suitable replacement.

I am very pleased with the dealership's response.

Sincerely,

Our recent experience (and we are repeat customers multiple times) purchasing a vehicle from this dealership was unacceptable. Although they have very competitive pricing, once they get their money, customer service and prep of the vehicle was horrendous. There was no care for the customer satisfaction. The vehicle was not delivered as expected. Upon them trying to rectify the situation, there was no offer of a loaner vehicle, or even followup calls as to the status of when the car would be ready. You should never have to return your car to have them prep it a second time. Don't waste your time at this dealership.

Review: I have been a very good and loyal customer of Huntington Honda, New York. I’ve always had my 2002 Honda Odyssey serviced exclusively at Huntington Honda for the past 11 years, and never had a problem with any repair service, until now.

I paid Huntington Honda $236.34 to repair a slight oil leak on my Honda Odyssey. The repair was incorrect, the leak continued and I brought the vehicle back to Huntington Honda. They repaired the leak once more, but charged me an additional $238.98 to fix it again. They said there was another leak. Nevertheless, after being charged a total of $475.32 ($236.34 + $238.98) to supposedly repair the same slight oil leak twice on my Honda Odyssey, the vehicle still leaked oil. For a third time, I brought my vehicle to Huntington Honda to repair the “elusive” oil leak. This time, I was not charged for the repair.

The first attempted repair on 6/*/13 diagnosed the oil leak as coming from an oil pressure plug, for which I paid Huntington Honda $236.34 to reseal the plug.

The second repair attempt on 6/**/13 now diagnosed the recurrent oil leak as a leaking oil pan seam/gasket, for which I paid Huntington Honda $238.98 to repair the seam on the oil pan as well as install a new, oversized oil drain plug. Seemingly, Huntington Honda’s service personnel stripped the oil pan threads during their second failed repair attempt.

A third, supposedly final, repair attempt on 7/**/13 was performed by Huntington Honda. The repair involved installing a heli-coil in the oil pan to repair threads. It was noted on the invoice that an oversized drain plug (installed during the above second failed repair) was removed and a heli-coil to repair threads in the oil pan with factory sized drain plug was installed. It is more than likely that Huntington Honda Service personnel stripped the threads in the oil pan, since Huntington Honda has exclusively serviced my Odyssey for over the past 11 years. There was no charge for this third repair.

Unfortunately, the vehicle is still leaking oil.

The fact that the three previous repairs were necessary because the oil was leaking at the same time from three different places independent of each other is highly questionable. The confluence or probability that there are three separate leaks independent of each other and simultaneously slowly leaking engine oil is a statistical improbability. The arrow points in the direction of shoddy and inappropriate diagnosis and workmanship by Huntington Honda.

This is not multiple choice repairs. When one repair/answer doesn’t work, try another choice. Properly locating the source of an oil leak is not such a technically esoteric repair procedure. It can definitively be pinpointed with the use of special engine oil dye and a light.

Whatever the ultimate cause of the oil leak and the required final repair by Huntington Honda, I need help getting my vehicle fixed correctly, and Huntington Honda needs help fixing their incompetent Service Department. Hopefully, you can assist in both areas.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated aid and cooperation in this matter!Desired Settlement: See Above "Tell Us About Your Problem" Section.

Response:

The initial diagnosis regarding the first oil leak repair is outliined in technical service bulletin [redacted]. (ATTACHED) American Honda publishes service bulletins of this type to aid the dealers in diagnosing various mechanical breakdowns on Honda vehicles. The charges for the 7 possible scenarious range from $88.00 to $803.00 with the average being $396.00. Oil leaks can be very elusive at times giving the technicians difficulty in pinpointing one or more possible leaks. The leaking oil pan gasket is not related to the oil leak described in service bulletin [redacted] and was treated as a separate repair. As for the oil drain plug, Huntington Honda does encounter a fair amount of oil pans with worn out threads which we install an insert to renew the sealing properties of the drain plug. The kit is manufactured by "Time Sert" and is specifically made for Honda aluminum oil pans. This repair which normally retails for $55.00 + tax was done at no charge on [redacted]'s vehicle.

[redacted] was contacted by [redacted], customer relations manager from Huntington Honda by email on Monday July **, 2013 requesting another opportunity to repair the oil leak on his vehicle. As of 7/**/2013, [redacted] has not responded to [redacted] as to when the vehicle will be brought in for further diagnosos at no charge. Although [redacted] feels that multiple oil leaks are a statistical improbability, the vehicle must be brought into the shop, lifted, properly cleaned of any previous oil residue, and further diagnosis performed, before the source(s) of any remaining oil leaks can be determined. Regardless of where the leaks are coming from, [redacted] is a valued customer of Huntington honda and every atempt will be made to pinpoint and repair the leaks as quickly as possible.

Please advise [redacted] that [redacted] awaits his response as to when he would like to drop the vehicle off for service and will provide alternate transportation to make the situation as convenient as possible.
