Shoals Landing
We have been very happy with our new home on Lot 42. This is a great location for being near everything but not near enough to deal with it. The neighbors are great {those we have been able to meet}. Luke Hinson, the supervisor out here, has made every attempt to resolve the few minor issues we have had.
The people doing work out here have been friendly and respectful.
I would encourage the sales people to have more information about the HOA and numbers of companies to call for trash, water and county.
My only ask, would be that they let the newspaper person deliver the papers and gutters would be nice.

Leaking Roof I purchased my house in May We had a storm and my roof was leaking profuselyThe house is only 1/years old and should not be leaking like thatWater was coming out of the Air conditioning and heating vent, down the wall, parts of the walls are cracked, etcIt is only in that one areaNo other area in the houseI contacted Strucsure to see if they could come and look at it to see if they could determine if it was a structural problemThey right away told me that I had to contact my insurance company without even listening to what the problem was that I was havingThe problem is that there are at least three other houses with he same exact design on this street ( [redacted] II) that have the same exact leak in the same exact area of there house with the same exact symptomsI find that odd that these styles houses are the only ones that have the similar problem and find it odd that they all have the same exact leaks in the same exact areas of there houseAll

Incomplete items in new home purchase Upon closing on my home, I was promised that painters would come out and paint areas that were in need of touching up such as where I asked to not have a ceiling fan and one was installed anyways Once the ceiling fan was removed they left the ring around the main living space/family room where the ceiling fan was mounted Along with the dirt finger prints on the attic opening that I was promised would be painted and it isn't The attic opening should have pull down stairs per the standard feature list that I signed upon contract and there is none I asked for my outlets for TV be raised so that I could mount my TV however I did get the cable outlets raised and the electrical outlets were never raised My kitchen cabinet has an overlay where if I put dishes there, they could fall on the countertop and crack because there is not a covering for the cabinet It is a hidden opening thereThe realtor promised that the electrician wand painter

I have a Carolina Home the front window to the front door has a massive leakHurricane Builders came to the person Hills neighborhood and repaired ot Hurricane Builders have been out to the Pershing Hills neighborhood before repairing other Carolina homes but did not repair my home which is has a massive leak from the bay window all the way to the front door

Hurricen Builders have cut corners building the over priced houseThey have over priced upgrades, which have up to 400% markupsI am still waiting for stuff to be corrected from my initial punch list, and I have been a home owner over a yearI still have major electrical issues that are not to building code and are fire hazards! I went to the local county building inspector office and requested a copy of all the inspections Numerous remarks by inspectors stating they couldn't re-inspect due to Hurricane Builders Contractors covering it up! Wouldn't recommending these homes to anyone!! Not with all the harrassment I have received by this company and their attorneys just to get their buildings problems fixed

Warranty repair on cracked bathroom floor has been done twice and has re cracked in the same spot
During our one year warranty period our bathroom tile floor crack the entire length or the bathroomWe contacted the builder and were told it wasn't an emergency so they would take care of it at the one year markThe tile in the cracked area was replaced at the one year date but cracked again in the exact same location about six months laterThe builder told us to wait until after the the floor had gone through the season
The floor company showed up to look at the floor and told us they had also repaired it once before we bought the house so this was the third time it failedHe called his office and they decided they need to do a more thorough repair so it wouldn't happen again but give them a few weeks as they were moving to a new location
After a few weeks we called Hurricane to check on the repair and were told that the floor company first said we refused the repair and then

The company did not inform us that they needed to destroy our driveway and front yard in order to install a sewage line
Because of the poor development planning of this company, my front yard and driveway has been torn upThey failed to put in sewage lines for the houses they are buildingMy house was already built and I've been living in it for a year nowThey dug up my driveway and lawn to put in a sewage line for the house they are building next doorI found out after I got back from work that they had done this to my propertyNo one had informed me that this work was going to be doneAlso, no one has contacted me afterwardI have called multiple times and the supervisor for the community has yet to contact me (they said he would, but he hasn't, and it has been over a week now)They have left the driveway in shambles for over a week nowNothing is being done and they have given me no prior noticeThis is quite irresponsible and unprofessionalThey have failed to compen

Hey, this is *** *** at Lot ** in Club Links The grass is starting to come in and I am requesting that we come up with a plan about finishing
I am *** *** at Lot ** in Club Links The grass is starting to come in and I am requesting that we come up with a plan about finishing landscaping on the right side (grass), fix the sprinkler head when it was damaged when clearing Lot 3, and the drainage issueI want it done before the grass is fully grown in pleaseI guess we need to get together and solve these issues and come up with some logical solutions
There was talk of resolutions but no action has been taken since August A representative from Hurricane Builders came out and inspected the issues, he came up with a minimalist approach to the solutions to the issues with my closing contractThere were unresolved issues, which are covered in my closing contractThe builders then damaged my property when clearing the next lot (3)There is water runoff onto my

broken windows for over weeks that have yet to be repaired
We closed on our home May 3rdAfter closing we came back to the house to find several windows crackedAfter several calls over several days finally got the the local superintendent to come investigateHe said it was warranty work and ordered the windowsweeks later the windows arrived and they were the wrong size and had to be re-orderedI don't know how they don't know the size of the windows in their own models, but they were too smallThe replacement windows that did not fit sat on my porch for the next weeks without anyone picking them upMy windows were never replacedThe warranty department continued to respond with "We talked to the foreman and he is working on it"We then started to call the corporate headquarters to complainThis got us a new set of windows on the front porchWas promised someone would install on July 21stThis was my son's birthday and we cancelled his plans because we needed th

We purchased a home built by Hurricane Builders in July of The house has begun to have several issues (cracks in the ceiling, popping floors)
Our house recently started to have several problems The ceilings have started to crack and the walls and floors are popping when you walk on them Their are several cracks that are appearing in what seem to be stress points around the house I contacted them once and was told to contact StrucSure I called them and they told me they wanted $to come out and look at the foundation I don't even know if this is a foundation problem I also contacted my insurance company (USAA) who came out and said it was a construction flaws I then contacted Hurricane Builders again and was told once again to contact StrucSure After calling them they said they only deal with the foundation I emailed *** at Hurricane Builders once again to only receive an email back that was unprofessional

Last summer our AC broke, I reached out to warranty and they said bc it had been over a year I needed to call someone in my area to come fix itI called *** hearing and air, they came out for an analysis and said that it had broken because they put too small of a part on our unit and it was the builders faultI contacted hurricane and they sent their AC people out, confirmed it was their fault and replaced the partNow I still have a bill for the $analysis from ***I have been asking them to pay this bill and they keep giving me the run aroundSome people tell me they will take care of it others tell me they can'tI've been waiting for weeks to have the warranty supervisor call meHad they given me their AC people information initially instead of telling me to contact a local person I wouldn't have this problem at all

I bought my house brand new in I was near the end of my Army service and was settling down in Sumter, SCI still had one deployment, a year, to finishWhile I was away my mother was looking after my children and my homeThings started going wrong immediatelyThe water heater burned outWhile I was moving in the Heat and A/C pump broke, they had accidentally put nails through the cooling hoses while putting up the finishing fixtures on the houseWhen I tried to get them to fix things they would say they were going to only to not show up or only temporarily fixed the problemAfter the year was up and I returned to my home, the A/C broke down again and I called a local repair businessThey took me up stairs to show me a refurbished machine with wires taped and jury rigged and it looked like it was years oldThe pump keeps on breaking down and I've probably spent as much money to fix the unit with the number of times it's broken down to buy a new one; I'm about to pay another $dollar bill to get parts replaced on this lemon A/C, luckily the parts are under warrantyI will never buy another home from Hurricane BuildersI feel like I've been hoodwinked, but there's nothing I can do about it

Leaking Bay/bow windows (2)
I have been trying to locate your on-line form to report a construction deficiency on my home I took possession of my home in July I first called your "Warranty Department" in November 2012, reporting leaks in the ceilings above my two bay/bow windows I was pushed back by being told I only had a one year guarantee on this home I've come to learn that this is not true I live in Ashbrook Estates, in Southern SumterLot #Lauderdale Lane I have learned from several neighbors that also have bow/bay windows, have had water leaking behind the flashing due to it being incorrectly installedI am aware that your company is in the process of repairing this substandard construction mistake at the present time In late 2012, you sent two men to my home to inspect my leaksOne man got up on a ladder with a caulk gun The leaks just got worseWhen I called Adams Construction back, they told me it wasn't their problem, to call Hurricane I h

After speaking with the very rude "customer" service rep this company seems pretty uselessi found a leak in my roof after the one year pointI would expect poor workmanship causing the roof flashing to leak to be a minor repair they would want to cover but they had no interest in helping me in any way what so everDon't expect a thing from these people once they have their money it is pretty obvious they could care less about their product after payment has been receivedI was given a complete runaround with no answers to my questions to be foundIf you enjoy terrible and rude service as well as calling or different phone numbers to be blown off then this may be a builder to consider

Purchased a new construction home and some of the things were improperly installed and its only been six months but still experiencing repair issues
I am extremely frustrated with the warranty process and have had a number of issues that have have been repeatedly repairedPlease check the warranty service systemI entered some service requests that have yet to get responsesI have holes in my walls from a partial corrective repair from a toilet paper dispenser (the was improperly installed and was loose and kept coming off mind you no one was hanging on it you could see the plastic screw) but no repair for the wallsMy garage isn't working for the 2nd time since we moved into the home (only six months)This is not our first home purchase so I am very well aware of what should be done and how the process worksI am trying to stay claim and understand that you have a process and protocol to follow
We have not had a smooth business transaction with Hurricane Builders thus far

Yes to a defect in their building they did not properly flash the bay windows and during the hurricane water flowed inside causing damages
I bought the home April During Hurricane Matthew water poured in through the window frame, ceiling and walks around the front Bay window We were told by a Hurricane employee that this was due to a defect in the blueprints were the bay area was not properly flashed and insulated We were promised Recall Repairs and I was very accommodating with their schedule Problem is that the never show up so I waste days waiting only to be told it will be next week, yet next week never comes It took over a month for *** to finally come a ND look at the damaged floor Most of the inside was completed mid November but a month later still waiting on painters Today he,shows up but says tomorrow he might be able to finish The Floor guy, hurt his back so they don't know when the floor will be fixed Really, they only have one floor layer and one p
