Hurricane Diesel Performance & Repair, LLC Reviews (1)

To whom it may concern, 7/5/17 I am writing in response of the complaint by *** ***I am the general manager of Hurricane Diesel Performance and Repair. It came to my understanding that *** *** came to Hurricane Diesel in July of after an unknown diesel shop had
worked on his truck and it was not runningIt was towed into our facility. Our service writer Jon, had taken over for a former service writer who had left our employJon informed *** that the amount of work *** was requesting could not be done in the previously agreed on timelineJon informed *** that we could do a basic rebuild on his motor and have it completed within his deadline*** agreed to this and the new deadline*** then proceeded to change the invoice and the work requested several times making it impossible to meet any deadline, as the work requested was custom work which required the shipping of parts to and from Spokane. In his letter *** complains about the cab being lifted off his truck and his wiring harness disconnected etcThis is how are technicians work on difficult engine rebuilds and is quite common in the more experienced diesel shops.According to the owner of Hurricane and Jon the service writer, ***s demands became increasingly erratic and his demeanor agitated making it difficult to for the staff to work with himAt some point an agreement was reached and *** would pick up his truck “as is “and take it to another shop to finist was agreed that *** would pay for the work performed thus far which consisted of breaking down the engine***s bill was $$was for labor, $ was for parts that are in ***s possession and $in tax.On February 16th, 2017, I was asked by the owner Kyle, who is my son to respond to the shop the next day because an erratic customer named *** *** was coming in to pick up his truck and the staff was concerned that he may be violentMy son felt it would be good for me to be there because of my 36-year career in Law Enforcement.I responded to the shop on February 17th, and *** walked in carrying a videorecorderHe stated he wanted to videotape his truck and his parts on the palletJon informed me that they told *** it would take pallets to ship his parts properly but he did not want to pay for two palletsApparently his parts were being shipped to a “custom” engine builder in Pennsylvania.I observed *** both in person and via our surveillance cameras videotape his truck for approximately minutesHe then videotaped his parts sitting on a pallet waiting for the shipping company. To regress for a bit, ***s truck was broken into along with others while they were locked in our back lotThis was filed under Spoke Valley PD Complaint #s *** states his stereo, amp, subwoofer, front fog type lights and light bar were stolenThe stereo system was paid for by the owner and still to this day sits at *** sound in Spokane Valley***s driving lights were bought also according to ***s specificationsWhen they came in *** advised Jon that were not “DOT approved”They were replaced again even though ***s truck is not DOT approved.Returning to ***s visit to HurricaneThe owner advised *** he still had an $balance on his billThe owner handed him a $light bar to replace his one that was stolen and *** replied, “I don’t have any money, keep the light”.I then advised my son that *** seemed rather compliant and asked if he wanted me to stayHe said, “no you can go, he seems calm today”I then asked my son “why did you buy him thousands of dollars of new items when you don’t even know if the old ones worked”? He responded, “good customer relations”I came to Hurricane in March of 2017, mainly because of *** ***. Mr. *** would email daily (approximately times) looking for his parts that were missing from his pallet and several parts that were still at our shopHe has been emailed numerous times that his parts were here at the shop and his other parts would be drop shipped from the manufacturerAll we need is an addressHe refuses to come get his parts, refuses to give us an address to ship and refuses to answer the phone or call back. I personally took a picture of ***s parts in April of 2107(as per his request) and emailed it to him several timesYet *** still claims no one sent him a photo. As of this date I contacted the address that his engine parts were being shipped toThe parts were shipped to *** *** in *** PAThis is a Ford DealerI spoke to the manager there and he said the parts were shipped there but they don’t do performance work there. Apparently, a mechanic there is working on ***s motor in his garage part timeThe manager said *** called there every day and he no longer answers the phone when he calls.Being a former law enforcement officer I cannot ship parts to an unknown location in PA at the command of a voiceless, faceless person on the internet. As of 6/30/we have met with our attorney at *** *** *** *** and a response will be forthcoming. We have also conferred with the Spokane Valley Police Department reference Mr*** and his admitted violation of RCW 9.73.030(1).In closing I would like to add that *** *** has given star google reviews to other diesel shops from Spokane to British Columbia
