I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. Please see the attached contract. Nowhere does it mention that a "reputable DJ will be provided" if DJ Geo cancels. Even if DJ Geo had communicated with us that he will not be able to make it due to unforeseen circumstances, I would have understood. However, it is highly unprofessional how he was ignoring my text messages and failed to communicate. I had done business with him in the past and was hoping he would honor our business relationship and my request that he be present on the night of my event especially after he promised me. He did not communicate the details with the replacement DJ whatsoever as I had to tell him the details again the night of our event on July 8th. Me and my guests had to repetitively go to the replacement DJ to play the requested music (that would have been played had Mr*** showed up to my event as he had promised). Mr*** was at another event the same night of my event (I have proofs); hence he cancelled my event. It was not a good business practice for him to double book and cancel my event that I had reserved him over a year in advance. He had cancelled our meeting once before because "a last minute gig came up". He did not honor us as his customers and misled us. Regarding the system being overheated, a professional DJ would ideally ensure he has the right systems in place to avoid such circumstances. It is irrelevant when the system malfunctioned, fact is, that it did during my event that I had paid for.
