I think I am done with this bull,I have been doing what I do since 1978 & if I damage someones property I would not try to say it's not my fault when you do work for a customer & you damage their property or goods you step up to the plate & own up to it.The customer has you come to their home to do a job & if you damage something you take care of it,you might pay out of you own pocket or if it's a lot call your insurance co.I can't understand why I company would tell tails and try to get out of doing the correct thing.I don't have any choice but to file a claim with the courts.

This is Hutch’s Trees recollection of the events described in this complaint: -Upon our initial meeting the morning of the install, We, Hutch’s Tree were informed of a water pipe in the area that we were informed was “no longer in use.” Client knew of its location and chose to put trees in...
that location. -In order to install the trees where the client instructed we were required to break the pipe upon finding it. Finding any type of pipe in the ground without being informed of it would require all work to stop until we figured out what it was and create a new plan once its purpose was discovered. We would never negligently damage property we did not know about and discovered. -Three months later the trees showed sign of water stress. Broken pipe was leaking septic from the nearest building. Trees do not like septic. They started to die. We were informed and make arrangements to repair broken pipe and remove dead trees. -Hutch’s tree returned to remove two of the dying trees and repair the septic pipe free of charge. Pipe was properly spliced, septic cover opened and water sent down line to ensure the pipe was clear and upon inspection no large amount of contaminants exited the pipe into the septic tank that would call for a pump of the tank. -Total cost to client of job was $1100.00, which included the rental of the equipment we needed at $250.00. Total profit was $850.00 before paying employees, a normal daily rate. We returned and fixed the broken pipe on our own time. Client expects us to pay for new trees and install them for free. We did not provide trees; we were hired to install and nothing else. Had we been informed that this was a live septic line the trees would not have died. -Hutch’s Trees’ mission is rooted in honesty, respect, and strong community ties. We are very saddened by this experience however do not feel the fault is our own. We have a tremendous track record of happy clients. Unfortunately, for the first time, Hutch’s Tree, could not find the middle ground with this client, whose demands seemed awfully skewed to his benefit. -Client threatened to sue at every opportunity, even after several attempts to find the middle ground. -Not written contract between client and Hutch’s Tree outlining any type of guarantee. -Trees to be installed were not sourced or sold by Hutch’s Tree; therefore no guarantee applies.
Hutch's Tree stands by its origonal response. It is an unfortunate situation, however we do not feel the blame lands completely on us. In 6 years of business every client we have had an issue with has been resolved in a honest and respectful manner with the end result being a happy client and return business. In this situation Hutch's Tree and the client we unable to resolve the issue because of a breach of honesty and expectations that were beyond the capacity for us to come to peaceful terms.
