Review: I placed two items for auction at Hutter. Both items were to be sold in their June auction. Hutter uses a web site called LiveAuctioneers that allows people to bid on line and watch the auction live. Both items were sold in June according to LiveAuctioneers data base. My items are listed as sold and added to Hutters "lots sold" number they advertise after the auction in order to advertise that they sold a lot of things. If the "lots sold" number is low they may not get as many consignments. After waiting the 45 days for payment from the sale I never received anything. I contacted Hutter and they would not answer until a few weeks later to tell me they had not sold my items I'm June but July and for less money than agreed on initially. I had agreed to the June sale but not to the July sale. Hutter also misrepresented the items sold. One item they advertised as likely Inca although it is Inca although the design is Chimu a much earlier period. The item was obviously not Chimu but an Inca reproduction of a Chimu style. It was a period reproduction unfortunately no research was done by Hutter or they would have realized that. I was also told there would be a reserve placed on the items. No reserve had been put on any of the two items and both sold for the asking price according to Hutter. They opened the auction at 100 for one item and claim it sold for 100. Another item was opened at 300 and was sold at 300. Although I watched the sale threw their online link and saw different sale numbers all together. I also contacted Hitter prior to the sale to request the updated copy of the contract they were supposed to scan and send me which they never did.Desired Settlement: Considering both items were listed at higher numbers and I was told they would have a reserve they did not and I am owed at least the low number of the auction pre-sale estimate. One item was estimated at 200-300 and the other 500-600.
