The contracted work for a gas conversion was completed at the location known as [redacted]. As with all our gas conversions we need to coordinate with PSE&G (formally National Grid) and...

the Town of Brookhaven. Schedules and roll outs are based on availability of PSE&G and the Town of Brookhaven. This was a straight forward transaction. Once the groundwork was laid for permits, and the gas was brought to this location, the physical work was started and completed within 3 working days. A final inspection on the working condition of the unit was conducted by the Town of Brookhaven and a "final" on the conversion was issued within 30days of us completing the work. Reference August 2013.
Several months later a call was made regarding "Noises and screaming coming from pipes" A company representative was dispatched to the home. The problem was unrelated to the gas conversion. The complaint that the homeowner would like addressed is a separate issue from what we were contracted for. Additional calls to the office revealed that several different companies have been dispatched to this location. Translation, multiple workers from different companies void warranties.
The bottom line is that this entire unit was inspected by the Town of Brookhaven and passed inspection.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me as long as I'm given my deposit back minus the fees stated in the business response . I have no problem receiving my refunded deposit minus fees. I've been trying to reach [redacted] to work things out person to person but with little result. I'm looking to move forward and put this behind us. I will consider this case closed once I receive my deposit.
Sincerely,

Review: Our basement was flooded unexpectedly and we lost hot water. We called the plumber that had installed the heater 3 years prior, Hux Plumbing and Heating. They reported that we would need a whole new boiler AND a new hot water heater even though we had only had them for 3 years. They requested that we give them a check for 7,000.00 to order a new boiler. They cashed the check, but never came back to do the job. We have repeatedly requested a refund from [redacted], the [redacted] of Hux Plumbing and Heating, but he has never returned a phone call, em, or text, nor refunded our money. We subsequently had another plumber check our boiler, and they were able to fix it for 500.00, much less than the 7,000.00 that Hux plumbing and Heating requested. They stole our money at a time when we were most vulnerable..we were exhausted from pumping out and cleaning up a large part of our house and we were not thinking clearly. We have never given someone payment for services that were not completed prior to this. We do not want anyone else to fall victim to Hux Plumbing and Heating or Hux Services. Never, ever do business with this company!Desired Settlement: Refund the $7,000.00 you stole from us.

Review: I hired Hux Plumbing in September of 2014 to replace my oil fired boiler and hot water heater with a new gas service . I hired Hux Plumbing for the service I paid them 3500 deposit or half the payment to get the job started. [redacted] installed the gas line and after that Hux pluming installed the piping from outside to the basement where the new equipment is located. Once that was done Hux was supposed to finish the install of the new equipment after 6 months of trying to get the job finished HUX SERVICE HAS IGNORED ALL MY CALLS AND TXT MESSAGES AND REFUSES TO CONTACT ME. I HAVE BEEN TAKEN FOR A RIDE AND I AM OUT 3500 DOLLARS. I WANT A TOTAL REFUND OF MY DEPOSIT AND I WILL HAVE THE WORK DONE BY SOMEONE ELSE.Desired Settlement: cash DEPOSIT REFUNDED IN FULL

Review: Issue relates back to an installation of a gas line for $2500 they did in 2008. Work was completed with no issues. But they didn't provide me with a permit or final inspection with the town. I've been working to get my CO with the town and they said I need this as the last thing to complete my paper work. I called Hux 5-7 times before I got some one to call me back. This person said I need to pay $350 cash and he will "cancel all his work and get the process going the next day". I paid him the cash and now i'm calling and texting him but haven't heard back in over a month. First of all I think this service should have been included in the $2500 I originally paid but just wanted to get this done since I have permits etc. riding with the town which will cost money to renew and go through the entire process again. All of my other contractors provided this for this project.Desired Settlement: Please provide me with the final inspection asap.

Review: This plumber [redacted] Huxtable of Hux Services took and will not return my deposit of $2500 dollars. He failed to show up on MANY occasions to perform any work as contracted for new gas conversion . He has been avoiding any contact by phone mail text or person. He also did the same to 5 of my neighbors took deposits for work totaling over 10,000 dollars and disappeared with there money and did not do any work as contracted. He is licensed in Nassau and suffolk county in NY state. There are several complaints at Town of Oyster bay NY. He stole our deposits and refuses to return. There is also criminal complaint filed with Nassau county district Attorney [redacted].Desired Settlement: I want my deposit returned along with all my neighbors who he stole money from.... WE all want our money refunds back for non service.

Review: I used hux plumbing to do oil to gas conversion in my home. I have problems with knocking noise in pipes ,boiler making loud screaming sound and I needed to replace parts that were suppose to be new within a matter of a few months. I have a contract with this company and reached out to the owner through text ,office and cell a number of times about these issues. This company is no show and has not resolved my issues . Hux plumbing is very unprofessional and almost never returns calls. When I finally get through to owner he is very untruthful. I have waited for them to show up to my residence from the start of this project to finish plus ...they are No call and No show!,more then I can remember.Desired Settlement: I will like for this company to be reprimanded for there lack of professionalism. The type of work they do,if not done correctly, problems not fixed or addressed could be extremely dangerous even fatal to you and your family. I would like a refund on parts I purchased which they told me would resolve my issue and never did,the cost of my contract also the fee I paid to another plumber to come in and look at the problems.
