hwy 64 overcharged me for parts and labor for the repair of my car. claim I needed knew parts which I just had bought and had warranty on them .for oninvoice#XXXXX total 2,327.37 12/13/2013.I have a 2003 camary le 2.4 liter engine.took car in to have head gasket replaced.I stated to hwy64 I put a knew water pump on and thermostate and radiator.got my invoice and I was charge again for new radiator,waterpump and thermostate at three times the price I asked in writing for the reciepts of all parts put on my car cause my parts had warranties they said no.so I went to the shop that did the work they called hwy64 come to find out my parts come from [redacted] at a discounted prize.and dont have the parts they took of to show me they where bad.they charged me all this money .I fill they stole from my kids and I cause I had to use my kids chrismas money to get my car out the shop.My finace company [redacted] did a comparising of the bill and charges with three different shops each one was 300 to 400$ lower.I wasnt told of extra charges until I got this bill.I willing to fight this issue to the end.this is a crime and price gouging is wrong.Desired Settlementi want them to refund me for my radiator I cant get my money back for and my water pump I cant get a parts and refund back for. I have all documentation waterpump parts and labor was 193.00$my radiator was 125.00$ also just put a knew thermostate.which they charge me 16.11 for.am seeking 347.00$ in refund.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] PresidentContact Phone: XXXXXXXXXXContact Email: [redacted].netIn response to the 2003 Camry, that was brought to our shop for an overheating problem. It was found that the radiator was restricted with stop leak. Stop leak was solidified over most the engine compartment. The customer explained he has been adding stop leak in an attempt to fix a coolant leak. Engine damage was suspected, so chemical block test was also conducted indicating cylinder head damage. Our recommendation was to replace the engine due to mileage and present condition along with the radiator. Due to the cost, the customer elected to repair, an estimate was created that included the radiator and thermostat. Customer stated he would return to the other shop that replaced his radiator months prior for warranty replacement. Due to the fact the radiator was restricted with stop leak, warranty was not granted. As for the thermostat, which is constructed of a capsuled wax pellet that melts and expands at specific temperatures to regulate coolant flow, this part is deemed unreliable; damaged when exposed to extreme overheating, for this reason it was included in the estimate. The water pump was removed from the engine during repair, along with every other components on the front, top and sides of the engine. The pump was found to have been leaking from the front seal, crusted with stop leak. A new GMB oe replacement pump was installed, there was no additional labor. The customer was notified and part returned to the customer. He then presented the part to the shop that months prior installed for warranty. They in fact agreed to return his part with claim to the manufacture, explaining their claim process would take 4-6 weeks to process and receive a refund check. The customer expressed this was unacceptable and declined, requesting Hwy 64 Auto Inc provide vendor receipts to pursue a different venue . Customers request was refused. Hwy 64 Auto Inc. does not feel obligated to refund this customer for repairs done else where as outlined in consumer's desired resolution. Final Consumer Response The issue is not about any other shop.as I stated I want to see the recipts for all those high upcharges just give me what I paid for what are they hiding.next step my lawyer.
