Hwy 84 Auto Sales Llc Reviews (4)

The information I gave is not as claimed by the Buyer, he has damaged the truck himself and hes upset that I wont pay for itThe facts are he Purchased a rebuilt title vehicle from me, he showed up and fully inspected it to his own satisfaction, he could have spent all day inspecting it if he wantedI have lifts, lights, and measuring equipment which I know how to use myself and thats why I know it wasnt bent when it left my shopHe was shown all pictures of the vehicle wrecked as it was the day I bought it before he purchased it and I explained the repairs that where made to itI spent some time getting the title signed at a notary because he did not want to transfer it in KY, He visually inspected it, He drove it and he bought itI drove it before he took it and never had a light one come on or any other issue with itIt sounds funny that lights came on two hours after he left when I drove it for days with no issuesI cant even tell if the tires in the pics he sent me are the ones I put on itI cannot warranty this issue simply because it was thoroughly checked before it was sold and its highly unlikely this would have been missed, also he uses it as a work truck pulling a large heavy trailer on long distance trips and I dont know the exact dates but it was several weeks after he bought it that the rearend turned up bentAlso according to DOT pretrip checks you are supposed to check the tires on truck and trailer both before each trip, He told me when I sent him the sensors that he was driving it to Oklahoma with his trailer to an event and he other events to go to as well thats why he needed his sensors asap which I sent himIf he was checking his truck like he should and the rearend was bent when he bought it then he would have noticed uneven tire wear on the first trip, not weeks later. Its hard to say when it was damaged but it was done after it left my shop

I have not bent the axle housing in any way. I did know the truck was rebuilt and he assured me that it was repaired properly.  I did not spend all day looking at it . We arrived about 9 am or so and we left a little after 12. It was a 5 hour drive each way. Most of the time we were there was waiting on him to do the title work because we were out of state. There would have been no reason for me to measure anything and really who would do that anyway.  He did show me pictures of the truck wrecked before he worked on it. In the pictures the truck had damage to the front and a direct hit to the right rear wheel bending the wheels and blowing out the tires. when I saw that picture I ask if he replaced the rearend, and he said [ It was not bent ] .I have a witness to the conversation and we three were the only ones standing there at the time. I did drive the truck about two miles on the test drive and the pavement was dry so it drove ok. when the pavement is wet or slick the truck pulls sideways. I had problems with the truck on the way home, we were not gone long and the check engine light came on , I called him right then to let him know and he said to have it checked out when I got home and let him know what was going on. I did that and the shop I took it to said two sensors were showing bad. they gave me an estimate and I called he dealer back. we agreed that he would send the parts and I was to pay the labor which we both did. If he really felt the truck had no warranty then why did he pay for these parts? As far as pulling a trailer bending the axle housing I just don't think that is a common sense statement. The 3500 series trucks are designed to pull heavy loads. My trailer is a 24ft enclosed car trailer with car parts inside. The trailer is not overloaded and neither is the truck. As far as the DOT pre trip inspections he is talking about it does not even apply to this truck. I checked the tires for proper air pressure because it was the first time for this truck on a trip. All was ok when I left. When I got to the destination and noticed the tires were badly worn I knew something was wrong but I had no choice but to try to make it back home. I notified the dealer when I got back home and sent him pictures of the tires on the truck. That was Feb 20 and the truck was just purchased on Jan 23.   He was no help in finding out the problem so I took the truck to the shop to have it checked out. I was told the housing was bent that was the problem. I text back and forth a few times trying to show the dealer it was bent and he refused to help. I had the axle replaced and it was bent on the right side [same side it was hit on in the pictures he showed me]. The only way the axle housing could bend is to sustain a hard hit as in the wreck. Not from just pulling a trailer down the road on any length of trip. He has danced around the truth trying to put blame on me. Here are the facts: The truck was wrecked on the right rear wheels and sustained damage there. When I bought the truck I ask if the rearend had been replaced and he told me it was not bent. The bent axle housing is bent on the right side where the wreck damage was. ] I question if he ever really had it checked or if whoever checked it knew what they were doing. The facts stand for themselves here and this matter will not be resolved until I receive payment for the repair expenses. No matter how that comes about.

First off almost all of the response is false! The issue I had with the sensors was less than two hours after I left his shop. It was not the next day. He told me since I was so far away to take it and get it checked out so I did. The issue of the rearend he was notified on feb 20 and the purchase was on jan 23 so that was less than 30 days. I didn't notice the tire wear right off because I wasn't expecting it. When I notified him the tires has less than 2000 miles on them. The four wheel drive didn't work and I just had it fixed and didn't ask him to pay, also the trailer brake system was not working and I had it fixed and didn't ask him to pay. The exhaust came loose on the turbo and was filling the cab with smoke. I had that fixed and didn't ask him to pay. As far as the rearend it was a direct hit on the right rear wheel and I ask if he replaced the rearend and he said it was not bent. The long time at his shop was not looking at the truck but waiting on him to go places to get the paperwork done. Whoever he said he had check the rearend didn't know what they were doing!! I had the rearend housing replaced and just looking at it with just the naked eye you can see it. I offered to let him fix it himself.  We never discussed warranty like he said. I sent him pics of the the tire wear before they were completely slick. I bought the truck as repaired and it was not repaired properly. The truck since I have opened it has spent a lot of time in the shop. The workmanship of the body was acceptable but the mechanical was bad. There was no way on a couple mile test drive I could know the rearend was bent . It only affect the way it drives on snow not on dry pavement. The rearend repair and tires cost in the thousands to fix and I will do what ever I have to to recoup my cost. As far as pulling the trailer doing damage that's false too . I used a 97 chevy duelly and pulled this same trailer over 80,000 miles with no tire issue.

complaint and was very satisfied with its appearance, how it drove and ran. I showed [redacted] the before and after pictures of the damage to the truck and he had no issues with anything as he bought it and left. The next day he called and said the check engine light had come on and told me what sensors had gone bad. I sent him the senors to repair it right away as it seemed legit . I never recieved any proof that they where actually needed and through my research they are not common to fail. Several weeks later he sent me a text message saying the frame was bent and the fourwheel drive didnt work. I drove this truck for a week before selling it and no tire issues and I know the fourwheel drive worked as I put it on a lift and tested it. He later texted me and said he decided the rearend was bent which it was not when it left my shop. I had the frame checked along with wheel base and an alignment which showed no problems with the rearend and if there was a problem the alignment would have been off or the wheelbase would not have measured correctly. He also stated he pulls a 24 foot bumper hitch trailer full of parts that he pulls with the truck, I think it is likely that he has damaged the truck himself and is trying to get a free repair. He stated in the complaint that the rear housing is bent and that I have not looked at it to verify the damage however it was checked long before he ever came and looked at the truck as it is standard practice when selling a rebuilt title vehicle to check these things. We also talked about the warranty on the truck and he was told it was sold as is where is and to inspect it thoroughly. He never mentioned the fourwheel drive in the complaint and he told me had other issues with the truck he had to fix but never would tell me what they where. He cant get his story straight, it has changed several times and I refuse to send him money for a repair the truck either dosent need or to fix something he has damaged himself. He did not contact me within 30 days as he stated and its also funny that the truck drives that bad now and he never noticed it while test driving it and he didnt notice the tires wearing so bad until they where completley worn out almost two months after he bought it. I refuse to pay for anything.
