Hyatt Dental

My husband received dental services on 5/11/2019 from Hyatt dental. I paid $650 using my flexible spending account credit card, which I received through my insurance. We later received a letter asking for proof of payment. On 1.20.2020 I spoke with the office manager Veronica with Hyatt. She printed out a statement that I sent to my insurance. In addition *** dental asked for an explanation of benefits(EOB). Veronica was told by me, the dental claim should have been sent to Delta as primary and *** as Secondary. On Feb 6, 2020 I conferenced call to Veronica and *** rep Rachel ref#7262. Per *** the patient responsibility was only $423.20, and resulted in the patient over payment of $226.80. Veronica was asked to send the overpayment back so my flexible spending account could be released from hold. There is a total of $2700 I'm not able to access for my prenatal care or delivery admission as of 3/9/2020 because of the over payment not refunded. Veronica stated on a recorded line she and her doctor did not appreciate me calling her about an overpayment when her doctor has already discounted my husband for service not to my knowledge. She refuse to send in a refund and gave me two options 1) pay her office $226.80 from a different card 2)if she refund the overpayment I will have to pay the discounted amount she and her doctor provided to my husband in the amount of $2,811. Rachel explained Hyatt only billed the insurance for $915, contract amount was $840 and patient responsibility $491.80. My call on 3.3.2020 to *** dental rep Kate said more info was requested from Hyatt for the bill to be processed.The initial bill was only for extractions and exam. Kate also mentioned the dental office is not responding to the insurance request timely. I later conferenced the call to Payflex rep Yolonda and Veronica, which Veronica confirmed the additional info was sent to *** 2 weeks from today to show higher charges to justify $226.80 overpayment. Hyatt has not worked in good faith to help out.
