Battery broken for the third time within a year. I have a five year warranty. I have the code for them ***.
They Repaired my battery in August 2019. It broke again in April 2020. It took three weeks to a month for them to answer the phone/call me back. They repaired the battery again. June 2020 it is broken again. No answer, no call back, no email back, nothing. This is my only car that I need to get to work. I have a five year warranty with over four years remaining on it. Every time I was on the print out from Toyota for their warranty. Same code ***. My warranty invoice number is***. The last time their employee came out before warned me that the battery was going to break it again. And that the next time he came out he would replace the entire battery with a new one. At this point I want a full battery replacement and to not have to worry about it breaking every month and not getting a call or email back.

Desired Outcome

After the battery breaking three times within a year, their employees stated that the next time he came the battery would need a full replacement so I am seeking a full battery replacement.

Customer Response • Jul 04, 2020

After submitting a case, the company called me within an 2 hours. They were quick to apologize and resolve the problem. They came out the very next morning to replace the entire battery pack. No further issues.

We had an appointment for a warranty replacement and they never showed
In Dec 2019 they replaced our battery in our Prius, we bought the 5 year warranty and in June 2020 the battery died, we contacted them for a warranty repair and they set up an appointment for June 11th, 2020. They never showed for the appointment and will not return phone calls or emails. We want this fixed and cannot reach them by any means.

Desired Outcome

We want the battery replaced in a timely manner, that would be within the next 7 business days, we want them to honor the warranty and the scheduled appointment and return customer calls

The business finally called us and made an appointment that they kept and fixed the issue. I guess when you file a complaint it finally gets someones attention. Please close this complaint

Beware of this company, the batteries they sell do not work
This company has left me without a car and without a job for months. It's impossible to get hold of them, they do not return your calls and have recently moved to a different address.
Changed the battery, sold me some $500 warranty plan, but do not want to honor it. They have replaced the battery 3 times and each time it works for a short amount of time, then breaks again. It's been months and the battery is still broken.
They have scammed not only an American citizen, but left a struggling veteran's family on the verge of bankruptcy.

Desired Outcome

At this point it's clear they will not fix the battery. They can return my original battery, get their broken product and refund the money. They offered financing through another company, so they can just return the money to that company directly and be done with it.

Not honoring warranty.
Owner (***) is now completely ignoring and ghosting me. Not answering or returning calls, or returning emails.
Company repairs/refurbishes hybrid batteries for use in hybrid cars. Come to you for installs/repairs.

Initially work performed 1.17.2018 at my residence and elected for the 6mos warranty vs. the 5yr. Tech who performed the service informed me if I changed my mind, the owner would let me purchase the additional warranty before my 6mos expires. Before the 6mos warranty is done, I experience additional problems, so I elect to go ahead and purchase the extended portion. Contact *** (owner) and he agrees, no problem. PayPal transaction on 7.13.2018 in the amount of $249 for the extended portion. Additional work performed in July after ~2wks to get it done.

Contacted 3.17.2019 with problems. Contact ***, who gets back to be in under 2hrs, to inform him that someone needs to come back out. He said it would be next week. It's now 4.3 and my car is still down. I've called multiple times over many days with no return call (remember, on 3.17 he returned my call in

Desired Outcome

I simply want my money back. I'm not even looking for 2 weeks (!) of lost income.

This company owes me $2,483.93 and refuses to refund my money for a battery they never installed.
I needed a hybrid battery for my car but could not afford to purchase one from the dealership because I am 71 years old on a fixed income. I hired Hybrid Battery to deliver, install, and guarantee a used hybrid battery for $2,138.93 and one year warranty. I paid by check. The company kept changing the install date but finally on August 17, 2018, the technician Rafael arrived and 15 minutes after arrival stated he was done. When I questioned him about how fast the installation went, he stated that all he had to do was switch out the battery. Two days later, the change battery light came back on. I believe the technician decided to cheat me once he saw I was a senior citizen and did not understand automotive repairs.

I called Juan, the sales manager of Hybrid Battery and reported the battery was no good. He stated he had bought that battery from a new supplier and he would replace it with a battery from his regular supplier. Again, he kept changing the install date and finally, the technician Rafael arrived November 24th. He was here for 4 hours, removed the back seat in the car and could not properly reinstall. He told me to have the dealer repair the back seat and the company would reimburse me. He removed parts of the old battery and charged them using my electricity. When I questioned him, he told he was charging the new battery parts, which seemed strange. I called Juan to verify they were going to pay to have my seat repaired and that my warranty was still good. Two days later, I emailed the receipt for $349 and informed Juan that the battery light was back on--again. On December 10, 2018 Juan admitted that they did not send a replacement battery but had replaced some bad parts--which did not make sense to me. He told me that the technician would be replacing the battery with a used battery from his regular supplier. He said because of the warranty, they would replace the battery with a new one even if he has to purchase it from the dealer. He told me a reimbursement check was issued for the backseat repair and placed in the mail and that a new battery had been ordered. After that, Juan stopped answering my emails and would not return my calls. Hybrid Battery cheated me out of a total of $2,483.93. Considering the good online reviews, I really believe my age is a factor in the way I am being mistreated.

Desired Outcome

I want full refund of $2,483.93.

I paid $1299 plus $90 tax to fix my Toyota Hybrid car and within a week it has failed again and when I call no one is answering me to fix the issue
I paid $1299 plus $90 tax to fix my Toyota Hybrid car and within a week it has failed again and when I call no one is answering me to fix the issue. They gave an appointment and no one showed up. It is a complete scam.

Desired Outcome

I would like to get my money back as they did not provide the repair that I needed and have costed me to take vacation as well as I do not have a working car.

We were in Pensacola, FL on vacation in February of 2018 when our hybrid warning lights sent us to a local dealer. They wanted $5175 to replace the battery. I goggled hybrid battery repair and Hybrid Battery Experts was called and even though their home base is Orlando, they just happened to have a technician 15 minutes from the dealership. So, we met in a church parking lot. IN less than an hour and $1300 later we were on our way. The way back to Texas we experienced the best gas mileage ever-39 mpg in our camry hybrid. Then in late April 2018, we again experienced the hybrid battery and vsc warning symbols. I contacted Juan and he gave me a troubleshooting idea to try, and it worked briefly. So, he agreed to try to link us up with a technician from Dallas. We waited and nothing happened, so I kept contacting him. I suggested possibly working something out with a local hybrid company. I waited. Juan had family issues come up, a son in the hospital. He called me after a few days and had schedulde a "local" person to work with me! YEA! By now we had been two weeks with the car having issues, and it had become unsafe to drive because it would some propelling itself and my wife would have to pull off the road, stop the car, restart it and it would then continuing moving to her destitnation. We borrowed a vehicle for her to get to work. The local technician turned out to be from Atlanta, GA and we made contact. Hope at last, he was coming in over the weekend and would be at our location in South Texas on Monday. Sunday we didn't hear from him, Monday I couldn't reach him, so I called Juan. Tuesday I didn't hear anything, then Wednesday I made contact with the technician. Communication issues between him and Juan. Juan and I finally got back in touch with each other...bottom line...he couldn't get a technician to provide the warranty work that far from Florida. We finally settled by his returning a good portion of the $1300 in a timely fashion and I'm happy, and I think he is happy. Although communication was sketchy during the process, I appreciate his integrity and his desire to help out. I felt like he did the right thing under the circumstances. Thank you, Juan!

My battery died around 11/16 and I went with this company because they seemed to have the best price. They came out to my home and repaired it after I purchased the refurbished battery with one year warranty. On 4/17 I experienced the same issues and after almost 2 weeks and several times being rescheduled they came out and fixed it again. Now on 2/18 the same issue is occurring and after calling them they basically said that since the warranty is expired I would have to purchase the full amount. I spoke to Juan and he said he would try and work out a deal but never got back with me. He would not stand behind his product even though it lasted less than a year from the second repair and less than 15,000 mile from the original purchase. You are better off finding another company that is willing to stand behind their product when it malfunctions. I am going with another company who will stand behind their products. I would like some money back but I doubt that will happen.

Hybrid Battery Experts Response • Mar 06, 2018

We are very sorry you feel that way. We stand behind our product and stood behind our product while it was under warranty. While it was under warranty we sent a technician and took care of the issue. We cannot take care of issues once the warranty expires. Toyota will not do that for you and neither will we. You had the option of purchasing a longer warranty but decided on getting a shorter term. Your battery was OUT OF WARRANTY and you expected us to give you a free battery. Maligning us online will not change the facts. You were out of warranty!!!

Customer Response • Mar 09, 2018

As I mentioned in the original post the warranty was expired, so I'm not sure why you need to mention that several times. I never asked for a free battery we were discussing a deal and then you said you would call me back and never did. The problem is that you offer a product that is garbage and is not designed to last longer than a year, in no way is your product worth $1,300. I just had it replaced by another company and he said that the parts were not even for my type of Prius and the work was substandard. He said he never would have left it the way you did. If you cared enough about your product or had confidence in it you would have called me back and worked to retain my business.

Hybrid Battery Experts Response • Mar 13, 2018

Again I'm sorry you feel this way. When we spoke you could not feel better about our company and service because you were trying to get a deal as you call it. We stand behind our service and stood behind our work performed for you. You had no complaints when we sent a technician to do warranty work for you. Your problem is we did not give you a free battery or work out a deal for you. We did what we promised we would do. We delivered. You are looking for a deal that is not financially acceptable to us. Not giving you a deal does not mean we don't have confidence in our product. It means that deal is not good for us. Bad mouthing us on the internet will not change the facts. The facts are the facts.

On 21 December, 2017, Hybrid Battery Repair agreed to refund my payment of $1,389.93. Many promises since, but no refund.
I contacted Hybrid Battery Experts, in Orlando, to replace the battery in my 2009 Toyota Camry. A technician came out and did not replace the battery, but cleaned and "serviced" it on August 8, 2017. I paid $1,389.93 when the technician finished the work (invoice #***) In spite of the fact that they did not replace my battery, I did not complain, because I thought that they did the same to my battery that would have been done to the replacement battery. I paid the same as if the battery had been replaced and received a 6 month warranty. On September 15, 2017, the battery once again failed. I contacted the company. After a couple of weeks and without any prior coordination, a different technician called my phone and said he would be at my home in an hour to repair the battery. Luckily, the car and I were home. For a second time, the technician "serviced" my battery and left. The technician told me that the battery would have to be replaced, if it failed again. A week later, the battery failed again. Once again, I contacted the company. I told Juan, the guy in the office, that the technician told me that the battery needed to be replaced. He became agitated and told me that he decided when to replace the battery, not the technician. A week, or so later, for the third time, a technician called out of the blue to tell me that he would be at my home in about an hour or so. Again, we happened to be home with the car. When the technician (the same one as the first time) arrived, he proceeded to bad mouth the other technician and told me that he found three bad cells and the battery would be fine. During this repair, Juan (the office guy) told me that no matter what the technician said he (Juan) was ordering me a battery, it would take about a week to arrive and he would set up installation for the first few days in November. That would have been about two weeks after the third time they repaired the battery. He never called and ten days later, the second week of November, the battery failed for the third time. This time, I submitted an email through the warranty repair form on their website. I waited three weeks without response. I finally called the office on December 1st and spoke to Juan. He was very apologetic and said the he would get right on it. But, since it was a Friday, he couldn't set anything up with me until Monday (Dec 4th). He stated that he would call me on the 4th and set up a time for the new battery to be installed on either Wednesday, or Thursday (the 6th or 7th). That week came and went. I was about to call once again on Monday, the 11th, but I received a call from a technician, saying he would be at my home in an hour. This time, my wife and I were away from home and not able return in time. We had a discussion and I found out that he was not sent out to replace my battery as Juan had told me, but to repair it yet again (fourth time). I had him give me Juan's phone number and I called him. Juan called me that evening and stated he would order a battery and have it installed as soon as it came in. This replacement battery, that I should have received on August 8th, was installed and lasted a day and failed. Another replacement battery was installed and failed the same day, before I drove 20 miles. That was on 21 December, 2017. I immediately called Juan and he told me he would get a refund check out to me immediately. On 28 December, I called about my check and he told me he was out of town and would cut my check as soon as he returned to the office on 3 January, 2018. No check arrived, so I called again on 9 January and he told me his father was ill, but would get me the check. It is now 16 January, 2018, and I still do not have the check that he agreed to send on 21 December, 2017. It takes five minutes to write the check. Therefore, it is obvious that he is simply stalling me and has no intention of paying me what he owes.

Desired Outcome

All I want is the refund check of $1,389.93, that he promised me on 21 December, 2017.
