Hyde's Roofing just completed a new roof on my home and it looks great. Mr. Hyde educated me on the choices for a new roof and provided an estimate right after I contacted him. He promised my roof within 30 days and got to it in half of that time. Mr. Hyde is very professional and his crew is very conscientious about their work. They did a fantastic job of cleaning up afterwards. The roof looked so good that one of my neighbors has already hired Hyde's Roofing for a new roof. I would definitely use him again.

on april 5th *** the salesman for Hyde's roofing guarantee that there would be no problem to install on Saturday.
We signed contract and wrote a ck for $6700 which was required. It was partial payment the ck clear 4/8/2019.
Then every week in April 11,18,25th- may 2,9
I would stay in touch with *** and he would tell me that they was coming on Saturday. I would text him on Friday to insure that they was coming due to no supplies was delivered. He would say that *** cancel the order, or they not coming this week. This went on for several weeks.
So when we wanted our money back we finally talked to *** the owner
(*** never try to contact us to schedule a different day)
This is first time we had talk to him on May10th
We told him wanted our roof on or money back.
He said he would be here at beginning of the week to put our roof on which wast May 13-17th
we had to call him everyday and he always had an excuse and never showed up.
He reused to give our money back so we had to get a lawyer and he was given til May 31, 2019
*** comes back after may 31st and wants 3 mos to pay us back.
we only gave him til august 15th to pay in full.
*** sent the lawyer a check %3000.00 of the %6700.00 that he owes us then we had to wait again.
Sept 6th he decided to pay $1670
now 6 mos later he still owes us $2030.00and refuses to pay so we having to go to court for the remaining of our money.

I call *** he had no Contractor licenses
he has the wrong business licenses
was in the negative with the supplier per *** salesman.

*** also told me that *** has done this to several other customers

Desired Outcome

I would like for *** to pay us in full. We are having to pay lawyer fees out of the money that we are receiving due to he wouldnt pay us our money back. This has been going on for over 6 mos and this is not acceptable nor anyway to run a business Jody the salesman told us when we was having troblue with hype's roofing that he was also doing this to other customers

In response to Hyde's Roofing letter
I would like to say that Mr *** or anyone from is company contacted us to schedule any roof installation.

We didn't know about any job for our roof to be installed on May 11th. So there wasn't no way I insisted for that day.

They never contacted us to even see if they could install our roof on a different day since they have problems on Saturday work .

All that had to do is call to schedule a different day. Instead *** told us for over four weeks they was coming on Saturday and then there was always an excuse why they could show up.

So when we wanted our money back finally got to speak with Mr ***.
We told him after over three months we wanted our money back due to our roof was starting to leak due to he took him over 3 months and still wasn't come to install our roof.

Around and he reused to give our money back.

We had to *** our lawyer
*** had 15 days to refund our money
*** come back to *** an wanted
3 months which which would have been September.
We in return gave him one month and half
To pay in full by August 15th.
*** only payed $3000.00 of the $6700
Then a month later he payed $1067 still owed
$2633. So *** filled court papers September 26th

Then that's when Mr *** had to get his Lawyer.
This is know way to run your young company and treat customers. Per *** he said that Mr *** has done this to several other customers.

All he had to do is install our roof or give our money back.
And in the end it took us six months to get our
money back from Mr *** which is very poor customer service for this new company.

I hired Hyde's roofing to replace my roof, there were many delays, now the owner is harassing me for before I can have the roof inspected for quality.
Signed a contract with Hyde's roofing on 04/01/19 for $15,500 to replace my roof. The owner told me he would do his best to get to my roof in 3 weeks and I paid him the required 50% deposit. I called the owner on and off to find out when they would start and was told that there had been too much rain and they had problems getting materials. They finally showed up on ay 17thm almost 7 weeks after the contract was signed. At no time did they contact me apologizing for the delay.

The roof was completed on 05/21/19 and looks acceptable but I am waiting for *** to send and inspector to check the quality of the work. This should be completed around 06/03/19.

2 Days after the roof was completed, the owner showed up unannounced demanding that I pay him the remainder of the money and threatening to place a lien on my property. At this point I have no invoice from the company.

On 05/28/19 I received a call from Hyde's roofing office saying unless I pay them today, they will will put a lien on my property. I still have no invoice.

Desired Outcome

I have no problem paying them what I owe once the roof has been inspected and I receive an invoice.

Good Morning,

On behalf of Hyde's Roofing we would like to explain the complaint given from Mr. on Hyde's Roofing. When we completed his contract we informed him that it would be scheduled thirty days out and if we could get him in earlier we would try. Within two weeks he became a very unpleasant customer After the job was completed we attempted a final walk through and he told us to get off of his property and that he was not going to pay us. His job was completed within his 30 days and we could not get to it earlier because of rain delays. Mr. was very disrespectful. My secretary called him multiple times for payment and he would cuss at her and deny the company payment.

I'm not sure who lies more, Mr *** or *** He is totally delusional. They did not not start my roof until May 17th, a total of 17 days late and during this time I was given the usual childish excuses, rain (there was no rain), can get the materials (really!) etc. I actually thought he had done a runner with my money. The crew actually completed my roof successfully in 2 days and did a good job, then Mr *** started harassing me for payment. I had to wait a few days for the *** inspector to come and approve the work - during this time his secretary was continueingly harassing me for payment and threatening to put a lien on my property, most unpleasent. I would not recommend this company unless you want grief.

My roof was completed yesterday and I could not be more pleased. The crew worked tirelessly for two days and they were the hardest working and most polite people I have dealt with. They were respect full of my property and left it as clean as they found it.
The price was right and Mr. H was a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend this company if you are in the market for a roof on your home.

Hyde's roofing is a very honest and reliable company. Highly recommended and will use for a lot of my jobs in the future.
