in poor condition and had 200,855 miles on the impound form. We had no keys to the vehicle because the owner was irate and refused to give them to the police officer.
The owner came to our office very upset that her vehicle was towed the next day on Friday 2-20-15 with her [redacted] release form and paid her tow and storage bill. She then had us tow it to her friends house since it was illegal to be driven on the road without insurance and plates_ The bill to tow it twice with storage was $140.00. We received a call around 4 pm saying her car was damaged and her friends seen the tow driver just drop the car off the wrecker and let it fall in front of her friends house.
We went out to her location of the vehicle to see what she was concerned about and we took photos of the car. We only found that the right fender was damaged along with the right bumper which looked like it had been hit from the side.
The owner informed us she would settle for $700.00 and forget the whole thing. Photos were taken and we told her we would be in touch as soon as we could figure out if we were at fault and what we could do for her.
Before we could decide anything ,she called again the next week ,while driving her car back to Missouri on her cell phone. She said she would settle for reimbursement of the tow bill, $140.00 plus $300.00.
