John H***, owner came to service our refrigerator He asked for down payment to order partsHe gave us a bill which included sales tax and we gave him down payment of $made payable to John H [redacted] (not the business name) which he had requestedWe checked our bank and the check was cashed on the same day We have not heard from MrHyland since then which was nearly wks agoHe has not returned our numerous phone calls My husband went to his residence and spoke to MrHyland who told my husband that he would call him the next dayAgain, no call from him and again no return phone call to my husband who tried to call him again since he did not get that phone call from MrHyland as promised MrHyland's neighbors saw my husband when he went down thereThey told my husband that they saw many people come to MrHyland's home complaining and asking for their money back I believe that MrHyland is committing tax fraudHe has collected sales tax for parts that he did not

I contact this business because my washer was not spinning the water out of my clothes, repair man came out and stated with was a nut that was loose, charged me $to fixThat same night I attempted to use the washer and the same thing was happeningI tried several times to reach this business and finally after five phone calls he returned my callRepair man came out and said the washer was working fine but if I still have issues with my washer it was probably the clutch that was bad and it would be another $The same probably continued so again tried several time to get in contact with him, after I had to leave a nasty message he finally called me backReplaced the clutch and my washer still didn't workHe now has advised me that I would need a basket drive, which would cost about $140.00, he need to check the price and get back to meThat was on April 29, I still have not heard from this businessAfter spending $my washer is still not fixedI had to go
On Saturday June 24th John H*** of a company called Highland Appliance with an address listed as *** *** *** *** ** *** came to my house to look at my refrigerator …the ice machine was not working and the cooling system for the refrigerator would not cool below degrees He said I need a sensor for the ice maker and a new damper control unit for the refrigerator side and that the parts and labor would cost $since I already had to spend $for him to come out and look at it I told him to order the parts which I thought he did in front of me … he said he needs at least $down to order the parts …at that time I paid him $cash and $by check He stated the reason he needs so much is because he has been ripped off in the past I tried calling him after the 4th of July weekend several times and finally he called me back in late July and said that he was in South Carolina for days … and that he would come over the weeke
On May 9, John H*** came to our home to repair our freezer He had to order the part that was to be available at the local parts store on May 11thWe paid him total of $in full on May 9th After many un-returned calls and filing a criminal complaint with the DA office in the county where we reside for theft of services he manage to come to our home and replace the part right before they were ready to call himHe said he had family problems
Once again I called him to come and fix the freezer on Sept.25thHe called from our home and could not find the part locallyI suggested I look online and once I found an appliance parts place he took my *** and found the part and number for me to call and have it over nighted He did come back on Wed and put the new unit in We him in full $for service and laborThe cost of the part was $Thursday found that freezer still did not work Called John H*** repeatly without a return call from him Finally fo
