Review: I hired Hylton"s masonry to do a curb cut (widen my driveway apron) after discussing with him exactly what I wanted done. After I had gotten the permit he came 4 hours late on the first dry day after the agreement. His concrete saw did not work when he arrived and I had to repair the wiring for him just to commence with the work since I had already go involved. He cracked part of my existing sidewalk with a sledge hammer because he did not have basic tools like a crowbar and pry bar which was unrelated to the job. when I addressed him about it he just brushed it off. He left my house for 2 hours to get a jack hammer and arrived with nothing and then told me he never said he would bring one. After removing the concrete He hand mixed all 12 or so bags of cement by hand leaving to this day a huge concrete stain in front of my house. This mixing process took him all day as a matter of fact he left my house about 12 at night, working with just the moonlight. Where the curb cut reaches the adjacent neighbors property he did not pour the last peace of cement needed which is at the end of all aurb cut jobs. He also left a 2 by 4 stuck to the cement that he did not remove. The worst of it all is that the cement job was a disaster. The transition of the cement to the street is about 3 inches to high which he acknowledged and said he would fix. The concrete is now unleveled, very rough looking, sloppy, and uncaulked and sanded down with a concrete machine to correct the problem which is in our contract, and what he promised to do to fix it. I called him a few to times to schedule and he stood me up each time. When I told him that he should have at least called me if he was not going to make it, he got furious and told me to go "[redacted] and go "[redacted]" This is the last I heard of him. The job is not complete and very unprofessional and I don't know how it could be fixed.Desired Settlement: If his method of repairing it with a concrete sander and caulking the joints is not done and the last small peace of concrete is not poured I want a refund. I don't mind a mediator stepping in to assist with this, but be aware that he can be very rude.
