My septic system worked for the first two years as we were only on the property a total of five months each of those years. The rest of the time we were full time RVing around the US. Then we installed a manufactured home on one of the two RV sites & used the existing drain system. First thing noticed was that the large cover was cracked & had to be replaced. Second thing to go wrong was the control box was shorted out due to no caulking to stop bug infestation & had to be replaced. Third thing, after two years of full twelve months use the buzzer went off & the tank was full. The tank had to be pumped out, a new pump installed & a new control box installed. It was noted that solids had entered the center tank. Fourth thing occurred this year, the tank was full again & solids had clogged the pump & the field drain pipes. It was found that the sides & the bottom of the divider wall were leaking as no concrete had been used to seal them. Also, now the field pipes were clogged again with solids. The drain pipes were treated with muriatic said, but to no avail. Therefore, the field drain pipes must now be replaced.
