In August of 2017, the customer came to our dealership to buy the car, He inspected the car him***f and took it for a test drive more than an hour then he paid for the car using his credit card and came a day after and picked up the carThe car was parked inside in the showroom, any oil leak would be visible to anyone would pass by the car if there was any! As a used car dealer, we advise all of our customers to take the car to his mechanic to do a check up on the car before he buy it, but he didn’t do soHowever, the customer bought the car on August 25th, and complained after more than a month, since all our cars are sold as is, but we are still required by Illinois law to give every customer buys a car from us a warranty of days or miles on engine and transmission, Therefore, the days passed by and we didn`t hear from the customer, which means by law we are not liable of anything happens to the car after days or miles

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The car was inspected less than a month after it was purchased and even if it was a year over 4,000 dollars in engine repair is unacceptable especially when that is equal to more than half of the price of the car. If we can't come to an agreement I'll have to pursue other methods of getting my money back. If they inspected their cars before they put them up for sale there is no way they would have missed over 4,000 in engine repairs alone. As to the leak issue there are multiple stains from the car sitting in my driveway which was not there before as well as my mechanic told me there are a few leaks. I can provide documentation of the repairs which have been done as well as what needs to be done but I'm sure they already know what the car needs as they did before they sold it. Sincerely, [redacted]

if there were any problems with the car the customer would know within couple of days after he bought the car not after a month. we don't know what happened in the month after the customer bought the car. we gave the customer 15 days/500 miles warranty, he didn't contact us in anyway about any problem.
