COMPLAINTYesterday[redacted]Hello. I am inquiring about Case#[redacted]. I got an email today stating that my case is closed because of no response. Today is the first day that I have known that there was a response from I Candi Motors. I don't want this case to be closed because I am unsatisfied. The msg that I read today from him is stating when my car was towed there and the complaint is having my car there a third time for the same problem that he told me he had fixed that cost me $30 for a part the second time no labor charge and then the 3rd visit it cost me $45 for part and $200 for labor with negotiation. This is what I am seeking for satisfaction and also I want my receipt for the work. I'm guessing since he doesn't charge you taxes if you pay in cash so he doesn't want to give a receipt but I don't have any proof of the work that was done except the motor being put in. I want this case reopened. Thank you

Review: I recently contacted this business because my car wouldn't start upon getting my car towed to his shop he told me that a diagnostic test was free and let me know whats wrong with my car with price before working this guy never reached out to me had my car for over 2days where I had to miss work and when kept giving phone calls he told me it was my ignition switch it would cost me $180 I said okay ill just get the part but when I got a phone call to pick up my car upon arriving he said it was a relay a $10 piece where I felt he could have called me when he came across this problem before fixing with out my knowledge and charged me a $100 when asking for a receipt he declined giving me one and told me to never come back to his shop or call not giving me a receipt for my record and letting me know of all the charges that totaled $100 cash. This was lack of communication and horrible service and knowing as a female you would like to know what exactly has been done to your car.Desired Settlement: I would like a copy of a receipt for what I payed for I defiantly don't think $100 was worth fixing a 5 minute job that I could have done myself. Bad business he also did the same to my mother recently. Overpricing [redacted] who are helpless.

Review: I had issues with my vehicle about a year ago. I had taken it to the establishment trying to find out what was wrong with the car. He has instructed me that I had needed a new engine, which I understood. He always explained me that work would not begin until the vehicle was fully paid for. The vehicle was fully paid for January of this year, I had the payment sooner but the owner of the shop wouldn't answer the phone. Once I was able to make my payment it was 3 weeks later; passed the time I tried to contact [redacted] about the payment. So once I was able to make contact with the owner, I went to take a look at my vehicle. At that point in time I had noticed that my car speakers, stereo, and laptop had been stolen out the vehicle. I had asked the owner was he aware of this and he acted as if he didn't knew about such thing. So he said he would replace the stolen items but were never replaced. Nor, was there a police report stating that anything was stolen till this day. Afterwards, the kept giving me false promises of different time periods the vehicle should be ready; which still haven't come to be true. As of now, he was paid three months ago and still hasn't finished the work. Everything we had discussed would haven considered a verbal agreement, which he never met the criteria. When I had revisited the shop a week ago, he said the engine was done but he had some other things to sort out. When I asked him about my stolen items that were supposed to replaced weren't. Then, after I asked him about the stolen items; he advised me to look at sign that says he not responsible for anything stolen or damaged on his property. But, the sign was hidden away in his office, which customer would never see. And also threatened to acquire my vehicle title, when he said he was supposedly trying to get in touch with me.Unfortunately to this day I still haven't received my vehicle and I do wish to notify authorities to receive my property has been paid for and the items that were stolen from me. It's compromised me ;being able to help and support my family because I have no vehicle that I can go to work with.Desired Settlement: I wish to be reimbursed for the items that were stolen, which amount to roughly $2,000. And a price adjustment. Meaning to receive some of the money that had been spent on the vehicle to be fixed.Due to not being able to attain my vehicle, I wasn't able to sustain a reliable occupation. Which made things very difficult for my family and I. I feel as though that would be proper compensation.

Response:

I remember this customer very well he brought his vehicle too us on 6/14/2013 and yes we determined that he need another engine once we notified him regarding the issues with his vehicle and the total cost of the repairs. He responded he would get back with us soon We Did not here from him for over 30 days so we tried calling him several times could not make contact. Finally we received a call in November of 2014 stating he is about ready to get his vehicle repaired we let him know that sense his vehicle has been at are facility for so long that we would have to have the total amount of the repairs payed in full. He never payed too get the repairs completed. He finally came to pick up his vehicle 3/17/2015 and we released it to him free of charge we have no idea what items he could be complaining about no one would leave expensive items in there vehicle for that length of time at a repair shop. And we have a sign in are office stating that we are not responsible for fire theft or damage to vehicles and to remove all personal items.

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: The owner is giving false dates of our transactions, the car was originally dropped off in December of 2013. As well, he was fully compensated for the work that was done. I do have the final receipt as proof of payment and photos that show how my vehicle was mistreated while in the care of this company. The owner also made a verbal agreement to replace the stolen items from my vehicle, once he supposedly became aware. We had multiple conversations about replacing the items and he informed me, when the work was finished he would replace them. The mechanic still refuses to reimburse me for the items that have been stolen and the damage done to the interior of the vehicle. Therefore, I cannot accept this situation as being resolved and will proceed forward with legal action.
