to began I purchase with the company on the 16 of april 2019. after learning that the policy was not valid due to registration issues I had to cancel the policy on the 18 of april 2019. when ask for a refund of monie given for the policy of one hundred thirty dollars,the company sent me a check for one dollar and some change. I was not treated fairly and demand myl down payment in full.

Refund give me back my money please.
Ms. came into our *** office on 4/16/2019 stating she was an Alabama resident needing Alabama auto insurance. The agent wrote her a new policy at her request with a discount for prior insurance based off Ms. stating she had prior insurance. In later days we found out that Ms. gave false information, the car is actually registered in GA (not eligible for Alabama Insurance) and that Ms. did not have a prior policy in her name. Once this discount was removed Ms. owed Assurance America 16.00, she did not pay this amount to the insurance company therefore when she cancelled her policy after fees were deducted and the $30 non-refundable application fee her refund due to her was $1.19.
This refund was issued by Assurance America not the agency I GO Insurance, therefore this is not an accurate complaint against the agency being the agency submitted the money paid to Assurance America and they refunded Ms. what she was entitled as outlined in their polices and procedures
