These guys are scam artists who have my year old mother with dementia on their radar Earlier in the year they approached my mother for a yearly service, $later she had a new ozone black light in her filter system and her yearly "service" was done She then called them to replace her thermostat I was there when the AC Guy told her I will not charge you for the visit, just for the part She paid $just for the thermostat which I later found at a store for $ Yesterday, an AC Guy visited her, she did not call He told her both her outside and inside ac units were broken and he needed a $check right then She called her accountant who then called my brother and I We told Mom she needed a second quote and to tell the AC Guy this Today our local AC people in Umatilla went to her house and there was nothing wrong with the system

Can't ask for better service! My first contact was with David, very professional was able to explain his recommendations clearly and give a reasonable estimateMy next contact was with Morris, again on time and very professional, replaced entire system and cleaned up after himselfVery pleased with AC Guys

On June 3, David and another man showed up as scheduledWe had requested an a/c clean and service onlyNeither man was dressed as you might expect for a technician; they were dressed more like salesmen with clean shoes, nice shirts, etcThe weirdest thing is they were at our home with us for 3-1/hours, but spent less than minutes looking at and explaining to us the condition of our unitThe coils were really caked with debris and dustThis was why we had them out in the first placeThese guys did not even bother to use a brush to remove any debris so they could see the coilsInstead they tried to convince us that the only way to clean it would be to spray it with a harsh chemical that would bubble up and then hose it offDavid then said that they would be doing us a disservice to do that, because if they did, the chemical would destroy our coils since they were (in their opinion) in such bad shapeAt that point David said that he was actually refusing to do any service on our unit because if they did and the coils got destroyed then we would still have to get a new unitHe was adamant about not being willing to service the unitWe then went inside and we sat in the living room while they gave us their sales pitch and estimateThe paper they gave us, which we still have months later, says: coil completely impacted, pressure is lowThey quoted $for a ton seer unit plus a new concrete pad, if neededFreon replacement was NOT on the estimate, which explains other reviews that express surprise when charged extra for freonAt the bottom in big letters where the customer would normally sign to accept the quote, it says Estimate OnlyDuring the 3-1/hour visit David and buddy were very cordial and easy to talk toI was in shock that they stayed so long but let them go on to see how far they would goWe told jokes and it was a friendly visit, but right from the start we knew something didn't seem quite rightWe told them that we were going to get another estimate and would call if we decided to move forwardAnother red flag was that we never even received a follcall from themWe contacted someone else who cleaned the coils for usHis total charge was less than $and it took him less than an hourThe unit has been working perfectly ever since which is for the last months! It is still working greatIt made it through the entire summer and we've even used a/c this winter when we've had hot Florida daysAVOID THE AC GUYS! Run the other way

I do not like writing a negative review but feel I need to express my dissatisfaction with A/C Guys. Their customer service is lacking and it seems their primary focus is the sale and trying to upgrade the customer. I purchased a unit in January 2014 and with that came four free service visits where they checked the unit and did cleaning if necessary. I never heard from them and had to make contact both times.

On the 2nd visit I was told ! needed an upgrade from a 1" hepa filter to a 5" which would be $1700. Told that the unit needed cleaning. Said I didn't have it and was asked how my credit was!. He left without doing the cleaning. I contracted another local company for a 2nd opinion who I set up a twice a year service contract with. They were great and allayed my fears the unit was in jeopardy. The tech spent the time and did the cleaning. Big relief!

There is much more to this but that is the gist of it. Be VERY careful if you contract this company. VERY careful!

As a single woman, I was taken advantage of by another company. AC Guys came in, without much wait time, and fixed everything well, at a good price. Dom also looked over my AC records and explained everything to me. Great family-owned business!

Earlier in the year they approached my mother for a yearly service, $1500 later she had a new ozone black light in her filter system and her yearly "service" was done. She then called them to replace her thermostat. I was there when the AC Guy told her I will not charge you for the visit, just for the part. She paid $275 just for the thermostat which I later found at a store for $29.
Yesterday, an AC Guy visited her, she did not call. He told her both her outside and inside ac units were broken and he needed a $5000 check right then. She called her accountant who then called my brother and I. We told Mom she needed a second quote and to tell the AC Guy this. Today our local AC people in Umatilla went to her house and there was nothing wrong with the system.
