This company keeps calling me about student loans from a school that I have graduated from years ago. I am currently working on my MBA at a different school and I just do not know how these people got my personal information to even call me. I tried to call them to remove my name and number, but no one answers.

Tell us why here...

On July 31, 2020, Ms. had an account placed with i3 Group on behalf of *** University. The i3 Group reviewed Ms. account and found that an email was sent to her on August 1, 2020, requesting her to complete a survey in order to gauge her experience with *** University. On August 3, 2020, an i3 agent left a message for Ms. at , and no additional communication was attempted. The i3 Group has not spoken with Ms.. The i3 Group has closed this account and will make no further attempts to contact Ms., per her request.

Once upon a time, social security numbers meant something important. Now, anyone with a computer and a few bucks can get your information. Such was the case when this joke of a company called me. They already knew the last four digits of my SSN, my mailing address and more. They called, stating that they were representing the school I graduated from three years ago. I dealt with a representative with a thick (maybe Indian?) accent, aggressive speech even when I asked simple questions, talking over me and answering with very curt responses. I finally hung up. I have zero desire to ever do business with someone like that--particularly when my loans aren't in default. :-(

How on earth is i3 group maintaining a high BB rating? This is a SCAM. I'm getting repeated calls from a spoofed number. I have no student loans. I've NEVER had student loans. I've never attended the university they mention. Investigate this company and revise your accreditation!

Shady customer service. They have been calling and emailing me representing themselves as ”Ashford University” where I recently graduated from. I quick *** search reveals that is not the case, and that the call is likely in regards to consolidating student loans (that I don't have)... so I finally returned the call to request to be removed from their contact list. They immediately jump into the ”I can help you” sales pitch. I let them know that I don't have any student loans and simply want to be removed from their call list. He says it’s not about student loans, it’s another important matter. I ask what the matter is and he says he can't tell me without getting the last four digits of my social security number, I decline, explaining that I don't know who they are or what they want. The call went nowhere, and I eventually hung up, I guess I can try again on their next spam call.

I have had a very similar experience as all below. This company keeps calling me even though I do not have a student loan. They even called my wife and claimed to be the school doing a graduate survey. Clearly something shady is going on here. I would caution anyone with working with this company or even giving them any information.

I keep receiving calls the sometimes leave messages other time it is a robo call. The calls come all hours of the day and night. I do not have student loans and in did not even attend the college that they are calling about. When I actually spoke with a person and I started to question them they informed me that they could not give me any information regarding the loan in question. Yet they keep calling. This site forced me to give them a star but they do not deserve it.

I received several calls. I told them I do not need help with my student loans. I explained they have already been consolidated and placed on an IBR plan. The person on the phone argued with me about MY student loans. I was told that they were not consolidated and they are approaching default. I had to get really aggressive with the person and tell them I know about MY Student loans and the information you have is INCORRECT. They even said we can call your servicer. I told them no need I will talk to MY servicer when needed and it is not needed. I ended the conversation to not call me anymore and remove my name and number. By the way, they are trying to get people to do a forbearance and there is recent news stating some servicers are in a law suit because they made/suggested forbearances when they should have been finding other solutions. I could be wrong, but to my understanding when you file a forbearance your interest still accrues on certain loans. I strongly announced I AM OKAY WITH MY STUDENT LOANS AND NEED NO HELP. PLEASE STOP CALLING.

I have received a few calls from I3 group. They stated that they are doing a school survey about my experience from a University I attended nearly 10 years ago. The rep was pleasant; however, during the call I kept being asked the same questions that I already provided an answer for. Questions consist of my legal name, salary, work, was my degree related to my current job and if I would recommend the school to anyone, etc. I completed the "survey," but found it odd and strange. You just can't trust random calls now days.

As of 20 minutes ago I have contacted a lawyer. These people call often even when I attempt to block the number. I am a full time college student but have no “ former school “ as they keep stating. I have no back student loans due at this time and am not in default. They are rude, unprofessional and when it comes right down to it they are liars. I am on the National call registry and I do not appreciate the harassment and constant calls.
