Failed to cancel membership after I went in and submitted on the applicable paperworkContinued to auto draft from my account for three months before I caught itWhen I confronted the company, spent mins with a manager and minutes on the phone with corporate after which time they told me that I Never officially canceled my membership, therefore they can still bill meI ended up refiling all the same paperwork I filled out previously, after which time they did stop doing my account

My family and I were loyal customers for about 2 years. We joined the new facility built near by Cedar Bluff. On June 29th, 2015, we relocated to Grand Rapids MI for my new job. Prior to my move I initiated phone conversations with their headquarters regarding cancelling our membership. Since then I sent several documents proving that I now live in Michigan (utilities, credit card statements) and that I work in MIchigan (my employement contract, email communications from HR office from my new employer, etc). Some of this information was sent via email, but most of it was sent via certified mail. It is now 8/13/2015 and they are still giving me hard time. I need to show them paystub. My first paystub will not be available until 8/31/2015. Between 6/29/2015 and 8/31/2015 + 30 days cancellation period I will loose $274.85 + $195.00 cancellation fee. I can understand $195.00 even though it is way overpriced, but the $274.85 is flat out stealing!

I was happy when they initially opened the new signature clubI was a first time member to the National Fitness BrandIt was beautiful with alot of featuresMaintaince and cleanliness started to go downhill shortly thereafter and most of the staff are rude and always on their cell phonesThe major problem arose when I got offered a job and needed to move to the Washington, D.CareaThey requested an unreasonable burden of proof to verify that I moved and would not accept an appointment letter from the federal government with my start date and credit card statements with my new address on them as proof that I was movingI will NEVER join a gym againThey are predatory and want to get all the money they can out of you for the longest time possible they don't care about customers

I have the same problems trying to cancel my membershipI am going to talk to my bank and report their charges as a fraud

Big time crooksWas a member for years and due to a move out of state had to cancelProblem is they don't make cancelling easy even if you moveThey're in process of trying to charge me as much as $to get out of the contract even though we're now living in a different stateMoney hungry and downright unethicalWhat a wonderful way to treat a long time and loyal customer Terrible, terrible company that will stop at nothing to make getting out of the membership and absolute nightmare

This company is so crookedThey will say and do anything to get you to sign upI signed up with the gym solely for the reason of may having to cancel due to a job change, they said I could with a feeNow, I am needing to cancel and there is no possible way to get outDo not believe a word they say and I would recommend going to a different company, completely away from this oneI promise you, this is from a customer that had a good experience in every other aspect except for the lies they told me in the beginningIf you feel like you have to go with this gym I recommend getting something in writing to prove everything

Do not join there because to every move and need to get out of contract, cost you money
It should not cost you money if you move and especially out of state!
I requested the info to cancel and waited almost one month and they conveniently sent to wrong email and if they did they would have gotten a rejection on being a bad email address They have my phone number and proper email address on the papers from when I signed up
They only care to help you when they are taking your money
Very poor customer service!

Treated me like a criminal, dishonest sales presentation, management refuses to speak directly with you to resolve issuesDo not do business with this company

I had a very good experience with signing up at National Fitness center in Maryville yesterdayI am beyond happy with their sanitation procedures, their childcare facility, and their overall equipment ESPECIALLY the women's only workout roomSo glad I joined

Fantastic Staff, competitive pricingSure there is a contract but everyone has contracts (at least the ones that are worth using) Trainers are super helpful and the facilities are very clean
