Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: I want Mindspark Interactive Network, Incto reimburse me $for the cost of the malware removal software that I had to purchase to remove their malware from my computerIf they fail to reimburse me, I intend to file additional complaints with the Attorney Generals of New York and Massachusetts and file a lawsuit if needed to recover further damages! On the install page, there is a link for "More info" on the VideoDownloadConverter (see attachment)If you click on that link, there is only info on how to presumably uninstall the VideoDownloadConverterHow is that clear, concise and comprehensive disclosure? I would not trust your uninstall procedure to completely remove every trace of your malicious software! Nor would I trust your support service! There is no "info" on the facts that Video Download Converter Toolbar is a browser hijacker, which is promoted via other free downloads, and once installed it will add the VideoDownloadConverter Toolbar, change your browser homepage to [redacted] , and set your default search engine to [redacted] The Video Download Converter search will display advertisements and sponsored links in your search results, and may collect search terms from your search queriesThe Video Download Converter Toolbar infection is used to boost advertising revenue, as in the use of blackhat SEO, to inflate a site’s page ranking in search resultsThe Video Download Converter Toolbar it’s technically not a virus, but it does exhibit plenty of malicious traits, such as rootkit capabilities to hook deep into the operating system, browser hijacking, and in general just interfering with the user experienceThe industry generally refers to it as a “PUP,” or potentially unwanted programMultiple anti-virus scanners have detected possible malware in VideoDownloadConverter Toolbar[redacted] ( [redacted] Anti-Virus softwareVersionDetection [redacted] Please send me the names of all of the top antivirus companies that have tested your VideoDownloadConverter and found it to be clean Sincerely, [redacted]
