Review: Feb.15,2012 I hired [redacted] to put in a laminated floor. The dividing strip between the kitchen and living room became detached from the nails and broke off. I told [redacted] about the problem and he said he would look at it. The floor should have been under warrinty.He was questioning on how to lay the strip. He glued it instead of screwing it .In the mean time he moved and I never heard from him. Many times I would step on the nail and hurt my foot .My dog also stepped on the nail and cut his back paw on it and had to go to the animal hospital because his foot wouldn't stop bleeding.He needed stitches and medicine. Also the door handles he put on the door he installed are crooked. I was not pleased with his work.Desired Settlement: The cost of the medical bills, hospital visits, and medicine that I had to buy. The bill came to $ 631.00 from [redacted] Emergency Veterinary Hospital. Also, the strip needs to be fixed .He said he would have the strip in place before he started th job. Now that is eight months ago, I rather have someone else fix it.

Dear Sir or Madam:

Your 10/16/13 correspondence has been directed to me for response. Enclosed are two estimates which were to [redacted] for work done at her residence. Can I assume that [redacted] is the same person?

You should understand the background regarding the situation between these two individuals. They lived next to each other for five (5) years and the primary reason for my client moving was because of the hostile attitude of this individual.

I have enclosed the following documents which reveal [redacted]’s hostility:

1. Copy of Complaint filed 12/27/10 and Withdrawal of charges;

2. Copies of six (6) incident reports wherein [redacted] called the police for who knows what reasons; and

3. Copy of a letter from an attorney regarding harassment.

The foregoing items are only the documented ones. There were numerous complaints by [redacted] throughout the five (5) year period over parking, glances, snow shoveling and on and on.

Now in spite of those bad feelings, [redacted] hired my client to do work for her in February, 2012 and waits until October, 2013 to file a Complaint. That is approximately eighteen (18) months.

I believe that this is a case of sour grapes and just another way to get back at my client for who knows what reason!

By the way, my client had the same strip in his house on [redacted] and never experienced any problems with his little children running across it every day.

My suggestion is to allow my client to remedy the situation but that could be risky for him.

Other than that suggestion, I see no reason for my client to do anything. If [redacted] wishes to take further legal action, I have been authorized to make it a long and expensive task.

Very truly yours,

Consumer

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: If the environment was as hostile as **. [redacted]'s lawyer, [redacted], seems to think then why would **. [redacted] even come to my home to perform work on it, on more than one occasion? **. [redacted] is the one who offered his services to me and I agreed because clearly we were getting alone fine in 2012, after **. [redacted] apologized to me and my family for his earlier harassment. I am the kind of person who gives people second chances, as I did to **. [redacted] when he said he was fired from his job, was starting his own company, and needed the work. I needed a floor done and for those two years and after we got along just fine. I could have hired someone else but I hired **. [redacted]. He did not have to perform work on my home but he choose to on his own free will, so obviously there are no sour grapes only unfinished business.

**. [redacted] told me he would return to fix the floor strip on several occasions before he moved and he never did fix the strip. It is as simple as that. My attempts to contact him in the last months about his never coming back to fix it went unanswered by him as did this complaint (because he had to pay someone else to answer it for him, and he probably paid him to do it with the money I paid him to finish my floor). Typical. Shame on him. The only reason such time has elapsed is because I gave **. [redacted] the opportunity, on more than occasion, to fix it at a time that was convenient for him. I was being nice and **. [redacted] took advantage of that. It is no longer convenient for me because it is clear now that he never had any intention of standing by his warranty. [redacted] is only right about one thing with that being many months have gone by with the problem not being resolved which is why I have had enough and had to contact the Revdex.com for help because the company chooses to ignore the problem, as is further evident by the response the company had their lawyer type up.
