To whom it may concern,
Thank you for noticing us about the complaint that was done by Mr [redacted]
By law and regulation, a licensed general dentist is allowed to examine, diagnose, and render treatment plan of oral conditions including dental carics, periodontal disease, oral surgery, bone graft, sinus augmentation and implant.
Based on the level of training and confidence of the dentist, he or she is allowed to perform advanced dental procedures such as extraction, bone graft, sinus lift and implant. If he or she decides not to perform these complex treatments, after an exam, he or she will refer the patient to a specialist of oral surgery or a periodontist depending on how complicated the case may be. Moreover, a general dentist is allowed to cooperate with the specialist in order to render and observe the treatment performed for the patient. Due to the sact that we possess an in house specialist who always handles the treatment of sinus lift, a consultation betwccn the gencral dentist and patient regarding a possible future procedure such as sinus lift, which will be carried out in office by a specialist, is allowed.
It also means our patients reccive more benefits when both Dr. [redacted], a general dentist, and her in house periodontist working together on one patient.
Finally, Dr. [redacted] is an experienced and licensed dentist who is well practiced within the confines of her credentials. Dr. [redacted] has practiced dentistry based on the safety and well-being of patients in order to promote the optimal healthy oral condition for all patients.
Please, contact our office at 714–964–2040 or email us at [redacted] for additional information and questions as needed,

Mr [redacted] has came to our office brite Dental as a new patient who looks for a consultation Of sinus lift and implant for upper right partlally edentulous area. The very first step that the office required him to be done was filling out the new patient application and signing the consent form which allow the staff to do xray and Dr [redacted] can exam his teeth. He also agreed to give us his insurance information so that we could use his insurance to bill the service that would been done instead of sending him the bill. -
At first the patient denled to get xray done, but after discussion with Doctor, he agreed to get xray taken so that the Doctor could give him the more accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. Wejwere aware of [redacted]'s chief complaint of sinus lift and implant. However, after xray and exam were done, Doctor saw the active severe infection of his lower teeth. That is why Dr recommended the treatment priority of extraction of infected hopeless teeth. That way, it could save the patient from further infection, further bone loss and possible emergency care needed. Dr and staff has spent an hpur long to
see, discuss and address with him about his concern and treatment plan.

The patient got the insurance statement for paying the services of xray and exam later after he visit and he called the office to ask for the money back. The total payment is $131.00 for exam and xray. It is not $164,00 as patient mentioned in the complaint. He said he came for consultation only, and he did not come for exam and xray and questioned the office why the office billed his insurance. The staff tried to explain to the patient on the phone and explained him again when he came to the office to ask for our office license number. His insurance paid for what the office has been done for him. ?? left
the office upset, - |
We got the treatment consent form signed by the patient. However, he refused to sign the patient record of disclosure when he came as patient at first time and he refused to sign it again when he came to the office the second time to make the complaint. Therefore, unfortunately, our office cannot release his record by law or provide you the proof of what he agreed to get done at our office.
