The complaint that [redacted] brought to our attention was addressed in 2014 and deemed not credible for the following reasons: 1. The International Beauty Show Conference Manager observed this class for...

over a half hour. She observed a class taught by professionals the content of which was was as advertised 2. There were approximately 20 people in attendance at this session ([redacted]) yet this was the only complaint received 3. Our speakers are carefully screened and must live up to our high standards of professionalism. They take seriously the privelege of being selected to participate on the IBS conference program. 4. The session was sponsored by one of the IBS exhibitors. The conference manager contacted the sponsor at the time of the initial complaint last June to see if he saw any drinking or inebriated behavior. He stated "absolutely not" 5. The registrant was charged $175 for the class in 2014 not $250 as claimed We have email correspondence regarding this matter dating back to June/July 2014 which we would be happy to provide Revdex.com should they need it along with the session description and information regarding the payment amount and method of payment. I do not have any knowledge regarding an issue in 2013 and am unable to address this without more information.

Review: International Beauty Show in Las Vegas (holds shows in New York as well) hosts the tradeshow at the Las Vegas Convention Center yearly. The last 2 years I went the classes (continuing education classes that provide certificates of training) were altered due to the educator and/or assistants being inebriated. The classes were not taught as described on their website. This is committing fraud. Some of the students flew in from out of state from states which require continuing education credits to renew their professional licenses. The class certificates were issued for the class but the indicated class was not taught and was either taught by an inebriated individual or the class was altered to a very different class that was not indicated on the schedule. I have physical evidence of this. The classes were $250 each. I contacted International Beauty Show personnel on multiple occasions and I was assured that someone would get back to me and no one has. IBS is responsible for selling tickets to classes that did not occur. They are also responsible for the instructors in that class committing fraud. After noticing behavioral issues from my instructor and/or the excuses for a instructor being absent due to being inebriated I taped parts of those classes to have as proof. I also immediately emailed ibs when it happened the second year in a row. The classes I took are in their system and they know the specifics on the classes I am concerned about.Desired Settlement: I require either a refund for those two classes. (I took other classes that were fine) or I require a replacement of those classes or something equivalent to those classes. I am not responsible financially for an instructor who cannot instruct because a member of their team is inebriated. I am not responsible to pay for an instructor who is inebriated. This is ridiculous.

Sincerely,

I have video recording the model of the class for [redacted] was inebriated so instead of teaching the "longer man bob style" haircuts the shorter "scissors over comb" style technique was taught. I was taught this technique at [redacted] in beauty school. I have no use for this technique being taught and it was not in the class description. The class description said man bobs. The haircut taught was a short fade. Totally different technique. I have a video recording of the instructor informing the class of the changes happening due to the model being inebriated. So what do you mean that the class was still taught? It wasn't! A different class was taught!!! Not my problem! So unless someone has video recording of the instructor not changing the class and explaining the situation, I don't think so. Stop lying. Additionally please provide a detailed description of the class which was taught. It should match exactly the class description under "[redacted]" if it doesn't match the description, the class wasn't taught as described which is misleading. So either replace the class with the proper class or give a refund. The class was not taught as described. If I had known that they would change the curriculum, I would not have taken the class. Period.
