drains be installed in front of garage doors. This is a rare request and only a handful of times hasthat been requested on driveway jobs performed by my company. It is an indication that there is anexisting drainage problem and the customer preceives that this would eliminate it. There wasdiscussion to me by consumer that he had an existing problem, but no severity of problem. To completemy contract I hooked the new drains into existing 4" drain tile that was used to shed water from hisdown spouts. My work was completed on June 12th and consumer posted on social media theirsatisfaction of completed work. On or about the 18th of June Consumer calls and complains that thedrains aren't working. We had an unusual amount of rain, that week. In good faith, We went backtrenched , and laid 60 to 80 feet of new 4" drain tile, disconnecting from existing tile and reconnectingto new tile. Drains were functioning properly. This was completed at no additional cost to consumer. The problem is the lay of his yard and sidewalks that are in front of house , with the amount of rain wehad would back up, plus the amount of rain that was overflowing from his rain gutters off of the roofthereby keeping drains full. Drains are functioning. Not unless and until the consumer remedies hisyard and sidewalk problem, he may experience this problem. The Installation of a new drivewaycannot remedy a problem that originates from another area. When consumer called to complain he was verbally abusive on two different occassions, My companyin good faith tried to help him. But after the second abusive phone call and after he was informedwhere his problem originated, after my time, labor, materials and installation of new tile ( In the rain, ).I could surmise that I was dealing with an unreasonable Consumer and nothing further I could do or sayshort of fixing his yard and sidewalk, was going to satisfy him. I have performedmy services as contracted. If you should have any further Questions, please do not hesitate to contactme.Sincerely,
