Reference: ID *** Ms*** has been a long time patient of record. She actually did not have an appointment with us on 7/1/but came with her family members who had appointments. They came in at 9:AM and were checked in appropriately for their appointment
beginning at 10:AM. At 9:AM, Ms*** approached the front desk and questioned why other patients were being taken back before them. Some of our patients have appointments to see the dentist and others have appointments to see the hygienist. If the dentist is ready to see a patient, that patient is brought back even if a patient scheduled to see a hygienist arrived before them. Also, patients scheduled at an earlier time to see the hygienist will be taken back before later scheduled patients. This was explained to Ms***, who made some inappropriate statements afterwards. Her family members were seen on time. Each hygiene appointment is allotted hour of time, and as they had patients to be seen, they were finished by noon All treatment was conducted appropriately but cannot be discussed due to privacy concerns Ms*** has been rude and disrespectful in the past leading us to note that she may be dropped from the practice. The last incident occurred last year and was due to their failure to deal with their insurance company properly, which led to a loss of payment and a confrontation in the office in which Ms*** burst out in inappropriate comments. We treat our patients with respect and dignity, and we expect the same from them. We value their time and the trust they place in us as, and we strive to live up to that trust by providing quality care to all of our patients in a timely manner Sincerely, *** *** DDS
