ICG Homes Reviews (1)

The stairs in the house are coming apart. Also cement in walkway and driveway peeling.Closed on house Dec. 2013 and some of are issues were not addressed. We were told that the house would be cleaned and brown paper laid. Nothing done on that. Touch up paint was not done. Bottom of doors have rubber that's not bee fixed. Our main steps are coming apart from the wall and we told that due to humidity the steps will go back to the wall. Kitchen floor has many squeak spots. Lastly the cement on driveway and walkway spalling.Desired SettlementI would like ICG Homes to honor the workmanship that we paid for when we purchased the house. I would like main steps redone and the hardwood floors fixed. And lastly fix my cement issues as well. If they don't want to fix anything I willing to someone else fix these issues and ICG Homes[redacted]Business Response Touch painters - we did protect areas.Door swipes (rubber at doors) have been on back order and came in yesterday - she was contacted yesterday by representative. She was told there would be a delay.Hwds/Steps - we would come out in June to correct issues present.Concrete - homeowner used salt on driveway (admitted and was seen by others) - cannot warranty; however, will replace at our cost if elect. Consumer Response One of the painters put a sizeable hole in one of the bedroom walls. It took [redacted], ICG Warranty Manager, two weeks to patch it after numerous calls. Its been at least another 3.5 weeks and counting that he still hasn't painted over the patch as promised nor contacted me as to when he was returning. ICG's lack of customer service, poor workmanship and follow up is very poor. The door swipes have been on back order since January 2015 and its now May 2015. This is ridiculous. There was a gap in between January 2015 and May 2015 as to when the door swipes would be in. Again, this speaks to ICG's lack of customer service, poor workmanship and follow up being is very poor. There are sizeable and noticeable gaps on my hardwood stairs since spring of 2014 and the humidity from last summer hasn't pushed them back to the wall like [redacted] and [redacted] claimed it would. The stairs were cut too short, period. My husband is a [redacted] and this is a safety hazard, period. He walks with a cane and is unsteady on his feet. Any decent builder would own their poor craftsmanship and simply fix it, period. I have pictures showing the stair gaps since 2014 through 2015, showing the increasing gaps between the steps and the wall. [redacted] has known about this since spring of 2014. My home was built in May 2013 and the concrete shouldn't be breaking up like sand. This concrete isn't even 2 year's old. We contacted the makers of the [redacted] and they stand behind their product since it was tested in several environments' and conditions. The concrete is mostly sand and needs to be replaced. And as far as who seen what, I never said I didn't use [redacted]. [redacted] and rock salt are two different things. Not to mention it's highly unprofessional to claim that a neighbor or whomever that's not part of ICG saw me use [redacted]. Again the concrete is not even 2 years old and it's breaking up like sand. Again, I'm speaking to ICG's lack of customer service, poor workmanship and follow up being very poor. All I want is for ICG to fix the things in my home that they promised to fix, period. This is not an unreasonable request. Final Business Response The flooring people inadvertently put a hole in the wall. The patch was made and we are planning to repaint when replacing door sweeps. We have informed clients on different occasions we will come back at a different time, but they were fine to wait for door sweeps. Door sweeps have been on backorder from manufacturer for a long period of time. When they arrived, the manufacterur sent incorrect color - had to reorder. The inventory issues has been resolved and should have in reasonable time. Client has been made aware prior.Hardwoods/steps - as stated we were waiting until a moderate season. They can contact us at anytime to set-up an appointment and we will revisit and correct issues. They have been made aware. At my last visit there were no safety hazards or concerns present and they agreed to wait. Concrete - not warrantable. I can help them get replaced at our pricing schedule if desire. We have been in contact with clients and our goal is to make all 100% satisfied. At our last visit everyone seemed understanding and no problems exist. If they contact me at [redacted] - I will have warrantable concerns expedited.
