We had the worst time with our insurance company, [redacted] covering the cost to replace our roof due to hail and wind damage It took both myself AND ICON over four months, lots of phone calls and more emails than I care to count before they finally agreed to cover our claim I cannot stress to anyone that is in need of a contractor, especially a new roof, how professional, hard working, dedicated, honest and informative the staff of ICON is I feel like I was in daily contact with someone from ICON during my struggle with State FarmThey are more than just a company looking to make a "buck" They are right beside you, making sure everything is going as it should, until your project is completed I seriously cannot rave enough about ICON! We had a unique home exterior project successfully tackled by the Contractor, ICON General Contracting Services (GCS), LLC, Dayton OH during the period mid-September to mid-November Our home project required some tear-off of exterior painted cedar trim board and sheathing and replacement thereof The entire house was then wrapped and covered with vertical graphite coated foam-backed board and batten sheathing and uncoated foam-backed or aluminum coil trim Soffits and spouting were also replacedOur requirements were somewhat strict since the house is situated on a hill and endures enormous prevailing westerly weather exposure during the entire year Vertical siding versus a typical horizontal siding provided a unique look to the house in a neighborhood filled with vinyl lapped sided homes and this pattern was a feature of the original exterior that we wanted to retain We delayed release of this report until we experienced our first winter with these new products installed by ICON GCS LLC The project was a technical and learning challenge presented to ICON GCS which had limited experience with vertical sheathing but much experience with horizontal sheathing installation ICON personnel stepped up to the challenge in contrast to two other contractors who were unresponsive to our requests and found the job too daunting to learn Even with supplier problems that delayed some portions of the installation (these problems were not the fault of ICON but the supply distributors), the Contractor and the subcontractors completed all the work in approximately three weeks of full time labor on our sqfttri-level home Debris cleanup was not always timely by the subcontractors after their daily work, but ICON readily removed all debris at deconstruction and completion of the work and kept it sight unseen from the curb view of the house Finally ICON addressed all of our concerns for a weather tight installation to the fullest extent possible They were very good at consistently asking us if we were pleased with the "finesse" appearance of trim components (e.g., bird boxes, directional orientation of soffit trim around corners, placement of sheathing seams at junctions with window trim and electrical boxes, etc.) and readily complied with fixing any discrepancies we found on the workmanship All we had to do was speak up or listen to their comments after a task was complete Customer satisfaction was also noted in ICON's work on a comprehensive contract that detailed supply, labor and any other associated costs of the project for our signature I think we went through about 5-iterations to the final contract We are very satisfied with the conduct of the work by ICON and would highly recommend ICON for similar exterior installations Much thanks goes to the Contractor's team of Eric, Neha, Chris and Brian for a wonderful project experience

We had a new bath added to the basement The quality of the work is excellent We were especially impressed with the drywaller There are several small things that bother me, like a glass shelf placed too high to be useful and the light switches aren't in the order of the lightsYou have to flip them until you find the right one These are the little imperfections you would expect no matter who you hire If I have one gripe, it's how long the work took to do I was told it should be done before Christmas and there is still some finishing work to be done Not having had a room added before, I don't know if the time overrun is or not Overall, I am happy with the work and plan to use Icon for other work in the future

I contracted Icon GCS to finish my personal / residential basementNot only were they price competitive, but also were some of the most courteous, competent, and skilled group with which I have employedThe job was initially bid out amongst several area contractors -- with Icon being price competitive for what I wanted (the lowest estimate seemed too low to be good work -- you get what you pay for)At the inception of the project, as well as throughout, there was communication -- a contractor that answered his phone ALL of the time seemed to be a rarity to what I have dealt with in the past If there was any issues throughout the project, it was communicated and handled expediently The experience was great!
Overall -- I am most happy with how the project turned out -- giving us additional living space that is COMFORTABLE and professionally finishedUpon reviewing the completed project, the work completed and attention to detail have made me 100% confident in my decisionThey worked around our schedule, cleaned up after themselves, and were very courteousThis is the first contractor experience that really compels me to recommend this group not only to friends, but to get out and recommend them to others QUALITY work provided at competitive pricing is a rare find

I have worked with Icon since it's inception and have had extremely positive experiences. I am a repeat customer. Icon truly embodies the concept that no job is too small. They have fixed a toilet, moved furniture and painted several rooms. Most recently they saved me money by fixing and refurbishing my kitchen cabinets. Initially there were times when scheduling was an issue. But that has been rectified. Now they are even more dependable and the quality of work has been excellent.
The owner is creative and when given a problem can help determine the best solution. He made a gate for my steps when we could not find what we were looking for pre-made. I have complete confidence in Icon and would gladly recommend them to others.
