incompetent property management

This property management company is one of the worst I have ever had to deal with. David W. is my property manager. He is unresponsive at best. [redacted]. Doesn't deal with noise complaints, garbage issues, tenants wasting resources like water.

Background: I own a unit in a building that is managed by ICON Property Management Ltd. The building property manager is Christine A.

Monday, May 11th 2015, I email Christine to let her know that the bathroom ceiling in the unit is bubbling. My tenant had informed me of this on Sunday, May 10th 2015. Christine replies to say she's aware and that my tenant had also emailed her.

Tuesday, May 12th, 2015, I call the super and got an update that the owner of the unit upstairs still has not been in touch. I email Christine and she reports that the owner wasn't able to speak to them and that he would call them back shortly.

Wednesday, May 13th, 2015, I sent another email and was informed that they will let me know once a plumber has been in the unit.

Wednesday, May 27th, 2015, TWO WEEKS LATER, I emailed Christine for updates. I get a short reply saying the owner just confirmed repairs will take place this week. No date. No other information. No urgency. Nothing.

This is possibly the worst property management company I've ever had to deal with. Typically, the resident/customer is "always right"; however, this company's arrogant, "customer is always wrong" approach ensures issues never get resolved.

They hire rude property managers who take, what I think, is a useless property management course. They choose escalation over deescalation when it comes to problem solving. Ridicule over resolution. And more or less become unresponsive if they disagree with you're issue.

In searching for a new place to live, I ensure I strike any property managed by this company of my realtor's list.
