Review: My wife and I signed up our oldest son [redacted] to play on the U12 boys select soccer team with Idaho Thunder. He tried out for the team in June and made the cut. At that time we paid out dues through their website. During the summer tournaments and even into the fall regular season, my son only played an average of about 9-10 minutes per game. At this age group the teams play two (2) thirty (30) minute halves. Per the club policy for their coaches, it is required that all players in the age group and below play at least 1/2 of the time of the game (30) minutes. We noticed right away that the coach did not like our son and refused to help coach him or even get him the playing time that he deserved. We brought this problem to the coach several times and even to the board of directors for Idaho Thunder. Each time that we met with the board of directors, they promised us that they would demand the head coach ([redacted]) to play each and every player at least 30 minutes for each game, per their club rules. The board also promised my wife and I that they would send out additional coaches to help our son and other players get up to speed on training and the style of soccer that they like to play. This never happened. In November, the board of directors asked me to join them as a member of the board of directors. They thought that if I was on the board of directors, that this might force the head coach ([redacted]) to play my son more. Well it did just the opposite. During a soccer tournament in Pasco, we traveled to the tournament site for the entire weekend in March and watched all three games. During the first 2 games, my son played about 6 minutes and for the last game, during a freezing rain storm, my son played for 2 minutes!At that point I decided to pull my son from the club and I resigned as a member of the board of directors.We asked for a full refund of We were told that they have a policy that once a player plays in 1 game, no refunds will be given.Desired Settlement: We are requiring a full refund of $225.00.
