If you would like a builder that goes MIA after he gets his paycheck, go with Blake and Idea HomesFor MONTHS after our build we texted, emailed, and even sent him letters in the mail asking him to fix the items he PROMISED would be done by the time we reached our year date of being in our homeSince the year mark he refuses to communicate with usOur concerns have gone unanswered and items haven't been fixed such as cracks in the ceiling of the garage, bedroom, dining room, and kitchen, a poor paint job throughout the house, a leaky door that has damaged trim (the trim was fixed once, but the door continues to leak and cause further damage), a bathroom mirror that has a chip in it, a side door where he promised to have a storm door installed so that we wouldn't have water come into the house, broken plug cover, and numerous other small detailsHe also said after we moved in he would send cleaners in to have the house cleanedThat never happenedDuring our build the kitchen counter guy measured the house next door instead of oursThis delayed our closing even moreOur specs sheet states the house would be wired for an alarm systemWe had an alarm company come out and they stated there was no wiring for an alarmAm I frustratedYES! Am I willing to change this review? Yeswhen Blake owns up and fixes the items he said he would and when he answers our questions and concerns

For MONTHS after our build we texted, emailed, and even sent him letters in the mail asking him to fix the items he PROMISED would be done by the time we reached our 1 year date of being in our home. Since the 1 year mark he refuses to communicate with us. Our concerns have gone unanswered and items haven't been fixed such as cracks in the ceiling of the garage, bedroom, dining room, and kitchen, a poor paint job throughout the house, a leaky door that has damaged trim (the trim was fixed once, but the door continues to leak and cause further damage), a bathroom mirror that has a chip in it, a side door where he promised to have a storm door installed so that we wouldn't have water come into the house, broken plug cover, and numerous other small details. He also said after we moved in he would send cleaners in to have the house cleaned. That never happened. During our build the kitchen counter guy measured the house next door instead of ours. This delayed our closing even more. Our specs sheet states the house would be wired for an alarm system. We had an alarm company come out and they stated there was no wiring for an alarm. Am I frustrated.... YES! Am I willing to change this review? Yes.... when Blake owns up and fixes the items he said he would and when he answers our questions and concerns.
