We hired Ideal Plumbing to replace a sewer line and from start to finish the process was unsatisfactory It started with them failing to get the locators out to identify underground services until they showed up to start the projectA hour delay and they were finally able to startTwo hours into the job it began to rain and they stopped the work and refilled the trench they had excavated They informed us they would be back in days, leaving us with no sewer or waterThey left dirt covering half of our neighbours driveway and all of the municipal sidewalk leaving us having to shovel it back onto our siteThey also failed to inform the city inspector the job was put on hold and this person made an unnecessary inspection We requested they come back the next day as the day proposed had an 80% chance of rain and they did return the following dayThey were also given specific instructions in regard to access to the home which they ignored Garbage and debris from drinks, etcwere left on the site, a concrete pad with electrical wire for a lamp post were completely buried and still haven't been located Overall it was a very dissatisfying experience and we would not recommend this company

2 affected units. I had been in communication with [redacted] throughout the process. I was aware that the unit owner was not happy with some of [redacted]'s work. [redacted] assured me that all the issues would be addressed. On December 10th I received a letter that is attached above. The customer asked what Ideal was going to do about the work that was not done to her satisfaction. When I received the letter I called [redacted] to arrange a time to meet onsite at the customers house to go over work that still needed to be completed. This is scheduled for January 7th at 9am. Ideal is looking to get the customers concerns addressed. The customer will be present at the meeting on the 7th to go over any remaining issues she has with the work completed by [redacted] Restoration.

Review: On Oct. 19, a plumber from Ideal Plumbing cut a water pipe in the condo above me which resulted in water damage to my home. [redacted] Restoration was hired by Ideal to fix the problems. I currently have a complaint against [redacted] pending with the Revdex.com. I have had some serious problems with [redacted] and sent letters to [redacted] and Ideal Plumbing on November 4 and November 13, which Ideal Plumbing has ignored completely. So, yes I have attempted contact with Ideal, but with no success.

When [redacted] first came in my home, they assured me they were completely trustworthy and all of their workers were completely trust worthy. On Oct .26 I was informed that [redacted] wanted to come in my home to do some work. I said I was going out of town and would not be available. They assured me there was no problem and I just had to make arrangements for their workers to come in, which I did. I believe there were workers in my home on Oct. 27-29. On Oct 31, I discovered $700 missing from within a desk. I called the police and filed a report and I called [redacted] and let them know. I later learned that the workers who were in my home were subcontract workers and [redacted] accepts no responsibility for them. I also learned that a supervisor from [redacted] brought them in my home, told them what to do and then left them alone in my home, unsupervised. Had I known they were using subcontract workers and they weren't going to supervise them the entire time they were in my home, I wouldn't have let them come in when I wasn't there. I'm out $700 because of this entire incident. [redacted] is accepting no responsibility and Ideal Plumbing has just ignored the entire incident.

On November 12, my entire kitchen and hallway floor was replaced. Part of it was poorly replaced and is loose and some of the parquet tiles that were installed are defective and/or broken. The workers who took out my floor, didn't bother to unscrew a bracket that holds the hallway door stable. Initially, [redacted] wanted me to sign off without fixing the door. I refuse to do that and they brought some bracket that doesn't go with the door and the door remains to be loose. I want them to get a replacement from the factory. The restoration company had a plastic sheet attached by poles to my ceiling. When they took it down, it took a chip out of the ceiling. It was hastily patched. The [redacted] rep even left a message on my phone saying it was a bad job and they would get that fixed. On 11/23 I received a call from [redacted]wanting me to give them 2 dates for them to come and do the work. I gave him the dates of Nov. 26, and Dec. 1. I never heard from [redacted] again.

There is unfinished work and work that was done poorly. In the last reply from [redacted] to the Revdex.com, they don't understand why I would even want them in my home. I have no problem with someone else fixing their mistakes, but since the Plumbing company won't respond to what's going on I have no idea what to do. The plumber was negligent in cutting the pipe, I have more problems now than I did before this happened. I've made several requests of [redacted] that they have not responded to. I understand that accidents can happen but it's been a nightmare dealing with both of these companiesDesired Settlement: I want all my problems resolved. The floor needs to be fixed. Someone has to give me written instructions on the care of the floor. The only instruction I got from the men who installed the floor, was "don't move the refrigerator because you will break the floor". On my previous floor, I could move the stove and refrigerator. The floor may be broken under the refrigerator. I want to know if it is, and if so, I want it fixed. My carpet was wet from the accident and drywall was also wet. I understand that mold can form and be a problem in months from now. I've requested, a written statement regarding all the work that was done, who actually did the work, and the warranties on the work. I've never received that. I also want these companies who caused the problem and who falsely led me to believe my home was safe from their workers that I'm ou $700 and I believe one of these companies should give me the money. If I have the choice of having another company either repair or replace my floor, I would pick that option. There have been multiple other problems during this horrible experience, that I don't expect any remedy anyone.
