Hi, our detailed information in the compaint was not addressed, namely the incompetence of the employee that we heard from, and the fact that we did, in fact provide what was required, according to their very own words on their websiteThere is nothing whatsoever stated that says what kind of website one has to provide, and the employee did not tell us that, though we corresponded three times with himHad we known, we could have updated our website, to reflect those guidelinesAlso, I called, to politely discuss this, and asked to speak with an executive, or a senior person in IdealistI did not identify myself, nor state the reason for my call, though would obviously, when speaking to a supervisorThe person who answered the phone, wasn't helpful, and wouldn't allow me to leave a voicemail message for an executive, and asked me to call back in a weekWhat kind of company would not allow a person to speak to a supervisor? Again, I didn't identify myself, nor state the purpose of my callThis was a day or two before our complaintNext, as stated, we are a small church, and not required to have an EIN numberWe asked for just a few months, to post adsAll of this was already mentioned in the complaint, so the information provided most recently from the company, not only isn't accurate, but puts the responsibility on us, rather than on themIt doesn't say what kind of website, and most of what they just mentioned today, isn't applicable to our type of organizationThis entire situation has caused great duress to usWe therefore will ask them again to get this approved at onceI have explained everything very carefully

Hello, As we have previously described, it is our policy that when a website does not provide satisfactory information in order to be approved, additional materials may be requiredOnce we are provided this information, we can continue with the application process Unfortunately we cannot make exceptions to this policyIf you are unable to provide the information required to approve your organization, we do hope that you find another service that would be a better fit for your organization's needThanks for your understanding and we wish you the best of luck in your endeavors Sincerely, Brian C [redacted] & the Idealist Team

Hello,In response to the case submitted to the Revdex.com, we will clarify how our approval process on Idealist works. To be approved to post listings on our site, organizations submit an application. Nonprofit organizations can post volunteer opportunities for free, so we must make sure...

that these organizations are legitimate nonprofits for the safety of our users. We ask all organizations provide as much information as they can, such as 501(c)(3) registration, a mission statement, and a website. We understand it takes time for a new organization to have all of those ready and available. With this in mind, we do sometimes approve applications that only provide a website. When doing this, we look for a website that provides information to help us make our decision. This information includes but is not limited to: registration info, donation page, programs, mission statement, board of directors, staff info, and more. In your case, the website provided only included a single page with very limited details. When this is the case we ask for additional information, including legal registration for proof of nonprofit status.Provided you supply us nonprofit registration information (501(c)(3) we will be happy to take another look at your application. Finally, please note that in our "Terms and Conditions" we state: "Idealist reserves the right to refuse to offer the Site or Services or Applications to anyone at any time without notice."Here is a link to the "Terms and Conditions" in full: [redacted]
