Thank you very much for your letter and for giving us a chance to respond to Mr [redacted] and defamatory claims against our small business Mr [redacted] has used our services for several years for payroll and accounting We process payroll for over local businesses, many larger than Mr [redacted] , and we have never had a complaint We take the accuracy of this service very seriously When we process payroll for our clients we send them a subsequent email with reports indicating exactly how much each employee was paid for that pay period And, in this case, we also sent a file to download into their QuickBooks, which includes copy of each payroll and payroll tax check Mr [redacted] received this information EVERY pay period He also received a set of Quarterly and Annual reports with this same information These reports are sent with the expectation that they will be reviewed by the business owner It is the client’s responsibility to notify us if any changes need to be made and we will do so immediately If we are not notified changes need to be made, it is assumed that everything is accurateMr [redacted] admitted both in writing and over the phone that he NEVER REVIEWED the payroll reports we sent or the payroll amounts that were downloaded into his QuickBooks file every two weeks He NEVER reviewed the quarterly information or annual reports However, Mr [redacted] says that he called us to tell us the employee was over paid This is a complete fabrication If it were true, we would have fixed the error immediately If he did in fact contact us “right away”, and we refused to fix the error, why would Mr [redacted] continue process payroll with our company for another months? Instead, we continued to process payroll as without any complaints or issues from My Affordable Floors (Mr [redacted] Company) His employee must have known he was being overpaid, yet he did not have any trouble accepting the money Mr [redacted] needs to get the money back from his employee We did not steal from him, his employee did The best remedy would be to set up a payroll deduction and have the employee pay Mr [redacted] back over time Mr [redacted] would also be wise to acknowledge that it was his negligence and his employee’s dishonesty that made this situation what it wasMr [redacted] internet attacks on our small business are unfounded We have attempted to reach out to him on multiple occasions, but Mr [redacted] seems only interested in finding any way possible to make our firm the scapegoat for his oversight Interestingly, several weeks ago we spoke with him on the phone and he stated that he was very happy with our services He said was only switching CPA firms because he was moving, and that he would be happy to refer us if he ever had the opportunity Just yesterday we received a check in the mail from him If he was so unhappy why is he still paying us? We were proud to work with My Affordable Floors and help them with their accounting needs Over the course of the last several years we have trained three different bookkeepers on QuickBooks, and helped them with any questions they have had along the way They have always been nothing but grateful for our assistance and expertise We have credited Mr [redacted] last payroll invoice We made one mistake on an employee’s check on 8/21/ While we strive to provide 100% accuracy, occasionally mistakes occur When they do we make the correction immediately and it is our practice to credit the client’s payroll invoice We were never notified of an error, thus never given an opportunity to correct it Mr [redacted] chose not to review the reports and QuickBooks download we sent EVERY time we processed payroll While it is our responsibility to process the payroll, it is his responsibility as a business owner to review the information provided to him on a regular basis We cannot fix a mistake we don’t know existsThe fact that he takes no ownership of this is disconcerting An applicable analogy would be, you cannot go to a restaurant, order a steak, eat the entire thing and then come back months later saying it was terrible and ask for your money back Then to leave terrible reviews all over the place falsely inflaming the situation saying the restaurant tried to steal from you The internet is a wonderful thing but the complaints Mr [redacted] is leaving online are out of anger at himself and his employee To use the internet to vent at our expense is unethical We understand Mr [redacted] is upset but we did not steal from him Instead we have made every effort to provide him with the level of exceptional service that we offer to all of our clients Until last week he was another satisfied client His additional claims about our office losing a QuickBooks file, etcmake absolutely no sense and are coming out of nowhere While we sympathize with Mr [redacted] , it is sad that he is fabricating lies against a fellow small business owner His remedy for collecting lies in the person who took the money from him in the first place We wish him the best of luckI am hoping you do not publish his complaint or my response online as it is so unfounded it really seems silly and not in anyone’s interest Nothing about Mr [redacted] complaint reflects the truth – even the dates he wrote on the Complaint Background are incorrect and make no senseThank You, [redacted] *** [redacted] CPA, LLC7th AveKenosha, WI 53143262-925-7017Fax: 1-866-491-

Thank you very much for your letter and for giving us a chance to respond to Mr. [redacted] false and defamatory claims against our small business.   Mr. [redacted] has used our services for several years for payroll and accounting.  We process payroll for over 30 local businesses, many...

larger than Mr. [redacted], and we have never had a complaint.  We take the accuracy of this service very seriously.   When we process payroll for our clients we send them a subsequent email with reports indicating exactly how much each employee was paid for that pay period.  And, in this case, we also sent a file to download into their QuickBooks, which includes copy of each payroll and payroll tax check.  Mr. [redacted] received this information EVERY pay period.  He also received a set of Quarterly and Annual reports with this same information.  These reports are sent with the expectation that they will be reviewed by the business owner.   It is the client’s responsibility to notify us if any changes need to be made and we will do so immediately.   If we are not notified changes need to be made, it is assumed that everything is accurate. Mr. [redacted] admitted both in writing and over the phone that he NEVER REVIEWED the payroll reports we sent or the payroll amounts that were downloaded into his QuickBooks file every two weeks.  He NEVER reviewed the quarterly information or annual reports.  However, Mr. [redacted] says that he called us to tell us the employee was over paid.  This is a complete fabrication.   If it were true, we would have fixed the error immediately.  If he did in fact contact us “right away”, and we refused to fix the error, why would Mr. [redacted] continue process payroll with our company for another 6 months?  Instead, we continued to process payroll as normal without any complaints or issues from My Affordable Floors (Mr. [redacted] Company).  His employee must have known he was being overpaid, yet he did not have any trouble accepting the money.  Mr. [redacted] needs to get the money back from his employee.  We did not steal from him, his employee did.   The best remedy would be to set up a payroll deduction and have the employee pay Mr. [redacted] back over time.  Mr. [redacted] would also be wise to acknowledge that it was his negligence and his employee’s dishonesty that made this situation what it was. Mr. [redacted] internet attacks on our small business are unfounded.  We have attempted to reach out to him on multiple occasions, but Mr. [redacted] seems only interested in finding any way possible to make our firm the scapegoat for his oversight.  Interestingly, several weeks ago we spoke with him on the phone and he stated that he was very happy with our services.   He said was only switching CPA firms because he was moving, and that he would be happy to refer us if he ever had the opportunity.  Just yesterday we received a check in the mail from him.  If he was so unhappy why is he still paying us?      We were proud to work with My Affordable Floors and help them with their accounting needs.   Over the course of the last several years we have trained three different bookkeepers on QuickBooks, and helped them with any questions they have had along the way.  They have always been nothing but grateful for our assistance and expertise.     We have credited Mr. [redacted] last payroll invoice.  We made one mistake on an employee’s check on 8/21/2015.  While we strive to provide 100% accuracy, occasionally mistakes occur.  When they do we make the correction immediately and it is our practice to credit the client’s payroll invoice.  We were never notified of an error, thus never given an opportunity to correct it.  Mr. [redacted] chose not to review the reports and QuickBooks download we sent EVERY time we processed payroll.  While it is our responsibility to process the payroll, it is his responsibility as a business owner to review the information provided to him on a regular basis.  We cannot fix a mistake we don’t know exists. The fact that he takes no ownership of this is disconcerting.  An applicable analogy would be, you cannot go to a restaurant, order a steak, eat the entire thing and then come back 6 months later saying it was terrible and ask for your money back.  Then to leave terrible reviews all over the place falsely inflaming the situation saying the restaurant tried to steal from you.  The internet is a wonderful thing but the complaints Mr. [redacted] is leaving online are out of anger at himself and his employee.  To use the internet to vent at our expense is unethical.         We understand Mr. [redacted] is upset but we did not steal from him.  Instead we have made every effort to provide him with the level of exceptional service that we offer to all of our clients.  Until last week he was another satisfied client.  His additional claims about our office losing a QuickBooks file, etc. make absolutely no sense and are coming out of nowhere.  While we sympathize with Mr. [redacted], it is sad that he is fabricating lies against a fellow small business owner.  His remedy for collecting lies in the person who took the money from him in the first place.  We wish him the best of luck. I am hoping you do not publish his complaint or my response online as it is so unfounded it really seems silly and not in anyone’s interest.  Nothing about Mr. [redacted] complaint reflects the truth – even the dates he wrote on the Complaint Background are incorrect and make no sense. Thank You,[redacted] CPA, LLC6003 7th AveKenosha, WI 53143262-925-7017Fax: 1-866-491-3607
