Review: IEEE provides a service that allows me to download digital articles monthly from there online library. I get a limited amount of downloads per month. I was under the impression that the month would start from the time of purchase. I wasn't aware that if I purchased at the end of the month I won't get a pro-rated charge or my monthly subscription would start from the purchase date but the beginning of the month. Called customer service to tell them that I misinterpreted the wording on their website. I don't believe it was written in clear and exact language and the customer service agent said there is nothing we can do.Desired Settlement: Bring awareness to IEEE that many individuals and organizations don't believe what they are doing is fair. Why pay full price for a product per month at the end of the month. The month should start and stop at the purchase date or the price of the service should be prorated for the actual days in the month that got used. If the same billing practices continue there should be flexibility in allowing customer service agents to add downloads or provide refunds for people who may have misinterpreted the usage policy.
