ShockedAppalledAngryThis are all words that describe how I feel after visiting their shop My husband and I bought a larger car for my family and were selling our other vehicle (which had 60,miles) that had never given us any problems and was a great, reliable carSo when the potential buyer said they wanted to take it in for a mechanic to give to go ahead we had absolutely no problem with itThat is until Midas threw out a number in the 2,000s to "fix" problems we had never encounteredThey told us our front struts were "blown," that our battery was corroded, that our power steering pump needed replaced and so onThey diagnosed all of this simply by looking at the vehicle, never even drove itThey offered to do lots of repairs for us We decided to get a second and third opinionBoth told us that we were being scammedBOTH actually drive our vehicle and said there's absolutely nothing wrong with our strutsNothing wrong with our battery, and that there a small leak in the power steering hose that can be repairedThat was it Now here we are with a scared off buyer and back at square oneThanks a lot Midas for being so greedyIt's really appreciated

On 4/28/16, I paid for an oil change at my local Midas shop with a Midas credit card On 5/2/16, I mailed a rebate form, along with my receipt, in order to receive a $VISA prepaid card as advertised According to the rebate offer #***, the prepaid card was to be received within 6-weeks after receipt of the rebate form I phoned on 6/27/to report that I had not received the prepaid card I spoke with *** and her supervisor ***, who told me the card was processed on 6/8/and would be shipped in 7-days When I called again on 7/11/16, *** told me the prepard card had been sent out 7/8/and would be received in 7-business days When I called again on 7/18/16, *** told me that the card will be mailed on 7/21/ It is now weeks since I mailed the rebate form and I still have not received the prepaid card that was promised in the rebate offer #*** The telephone number regarding this offer is ***
