Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
The information presented by ifa is untrue.  I called in September to find out if ifa will be dropping me because I heard [redacted] has taken them over.  I was concerned with my policy status so I called them to make sure I won't have to find new insurance.  They told me that I will not be dropped and there will be no changes.  I never received notice in august or October about my future cancellation.  The first time I heard about ifa cancelling me was through [redacted] which was a third party that notified me 27 days before my cancellation date.  It's nice that ifa was able to give the Revdex.com the amount refunded to me because they wouldn't tell me.
Regards,
[redacted]

Review: Their client hit my vehicle almost a month ago. They never answer the phone or return voicemails. I have to call multiple times and usually get an answering service who wont tell me their company name and their agents are always rude and unhelpful and so are the agents at IFA. I have no idea what is going on because I can never get any agent to answer the phone or return my calls.meanwhile I have medical issues and a child that require me to have a vehicle and a rental car company thats charging my card and a personal items that need to be replaced after getting damaged from the rain that entered the car from the damage that their client caused at no fault of my own.Desired Settlement: I want someone to contact me and move forward with repairing my vehicle and compesation for the items that were damaged due to rain water entering the vehicle via their clients damage to it and I want to be able to be in contact with a competant company representative until this whole process is complete.

Review: Ifa insurance company is leaving nj and has not given me 30 days notice that they are no longer insuring me. I have found out through a third party that ifa insurance company is no longer insuring me as of November 29.. Today is November 2nd. My premium has been paid in full through march 29th 2016 and now I must come up with another insurance payment to a third party insurance company by November 29 otherwise I won't have insurance. Ifa will not disclose the amount that will be refunded to me and ifa says the refund will be mailed November 22nd. Isn't there a legal requirement here to let a insuree know 30 days before they are going to drop you? Also I found out through a third party insurance company that ifa will be dropping me. Shouldn't I have received notice from ifa not a third party? This seems unethical and immoral. Please help me as well as others that I'm sure are going through similar problems as me with ifa insurance company.Desired Settlement: I would like to see ifa held accountable for their illegal actions.

Review: Paid $592.50 6 month premium for auto insurance policy effective March 21 2014. I cancelled the policy effective March 25 2014 as confirmed by IFA via written notice to me. I was told over the phone I would receive a check within 2 weeks for the unused portion of the premium. The next time I called, I was told it usually takes 3 weeks and that my policy was put in "the folder" for refunds. The next time I called, I was told that checks would be cut on April 29 2014 and my request was put in "the folder". Yesterday I called and received an answer service. I said if I did not get a call back by 3PM I would file a complaint with the Revdex.com. No call back. Almost 2 months with no refund and no clear information about when one is coming. Every time I call I'm told it's being put in "the folder".Desired Settlement: Mail me a check for the unused portion of the premium ( I only had the policy for 4 days) and call me to let me know they have mailed it out and when I can expect to receive it.

Review: Added a car to my policy in June and was asked if I had previous insurance, my answer was yes, but cancelled, the lady I spoke to said do I have the insurance card or cancellation letter, I told her I didn't have the letter but had the insurance card

after a back and forth with her, she finally said to me to fax her the insurance card and she will add the car. I also indicated the car was financed through [redacted]

The insurance card and declaration also indicates this

on 31 of august, I was carjacked and filed a claim, after speaking to the special unit investigator [redacted] he told me the next step would be to be reached by [redacted], I called [redacted], she told me I would get $15,100 and she said some paperwork is in the mail for me . After a week, I decided to reach out to [redacted] on october 3rd who informed me that the investigator took the file back from her and will be contacting me later,

I was in shock when I recieved a letter through email, that my insurance is will be cancelled effective 10/23/14 for failure to dislose ownership: I don't own the car , it is insured and their paperwork shows this

also for material misrepresentation and a failure to disclose 30 day lapse in coverage for the car . They have taken payments from me march, only for me to file a claim and they are back pedaling that they should have never insured me. I do not have the car as I was carjacked and feels its not fair to be taken advantage of ,Desired Settlement: The agreement I had with IFA was to insure my car just in case a situation like mine occurs

I need them to compensate for the claims as [redacted] previously advised

IFA Policy Holder: [redacted] Policy # [redacted] We have received and reviewed the complaint that [redacted] has filed with your office in regards to the 8/31/2014 claim on her IFA policy. [redacted] purchased a policy with IFA effective March 22, 2014 for a 1994 Honda Accord. At the time of application she listed that she had not owned a car recently and only had one loss in the past three years. She also answered the IFA policy would be the only policy in the household. The clue report at the time of application listed two claims for a 2008 BMW in January of 2013. On April 4, 2014 she requested to change the 1994 Honda Accord on the policy to a 2001 Ford Expedition and supplied a reassigned certificate of ownership. On June 25, 2014 she requested to add a 2008 BMW that was she previously owned based on the registration renewal. She submitted a copy of an ID card showing that the 2008 BMW was insured with [redacted] since 8/6/2013 and stated to IFA that coverage expired with [redacted] on May 31, 2014. On August 31, 2014, [redacted] reported that her vehicle was stolen when someone grabbed the keys as she was exiting her vehicle. SIU was assigned due to the nature of claim. SIU discovered that the vehicle was uninsured for a period of time prior to the vehicle being added to the IFA policy. Attached is the current carrier report showing the [redacted] coverage expired April 8, 2014. [redacted] misrepresented owning an additional vehicle at the time of application and misrepresented the lapse in coverage on June 25, 2014 when she stated the [redacted] policy expired on May 31, 2014. The complaint [redacted] filed with your office is not valid. IFA issued a cancellation notice and a denied for the 8/31/2014 claims based on the multiple misrepresentations [redacted] made since the policy inception. We have referred the file to the Office of Insurance Fraud Prosecutor. Attached are our supporting documents for your review. [redacted] also file a complaint with the Department of Banking and Insurance. We have responded with the same as above. They will advise [redacted] if our decision was justified. A copy of our supporting documentation will be mailed to your office today. Thank you [redacted]

Review: My automobile policy, #[redacted] was paid in full for the year several months ago. While I was caring for my dying mother, and although I am disabled, IFA harassed me consistently, changed my payment schedule, and raised my payments. Finally, I received a letter from IFA stating I had overpaid, and a credit of approxmiately $150.00 had been applied to my account. Payment should not be due until January 2015, and until now, I've received NO bills stating otherwise. I recently received mail and email notices stating my policy will be cancelled on August 5th, due to non-payment! I just lost my mother, and am typing this complaint from her computer, as I am clearing out her home, and have limited time before I have to furnish Landlord with her keys. I do not have time to look for receipts, letters, etc., nor to shop around for another insurance company. I shouldn't have to as I'm paid up until 2015. This complaint is time sensitive, as IFA has stated cancellation as of midnight, August 5th, and today is already July 21st. Can Revdex.com help me?Desired Settlement: I want IFA to stop harassment practices, adjust my bill, and apply credit to my future payments which do not start until January. I would also like them to revert back to my original contract, requiring 9 payments over one year, as opposed to 4 huge consecutive payments. I DO NOT want my car insurance to be cancelled. If it is, I will sue IFA and report insurance fraud to every relevant party, organization having jurisdiction over insurance companies. IFA has my money for the year, and now they're going to cancel my policy? This is outrageous.

Attn: [redacted]Re: Complaint id# [redacted]In response to the compalint referenced above attached you will find proof that our insured ([redacted]) policy# [redacted] account is not paid in full. [redacted] purchased a policy from IFA effective 1/4/14 to 1/4/15. The premium for one year is $1666.00. [redacted] has only made 3 payments. One of the payments on 2/12/14 bounced due to the fact the account she used to set up the automatic payments came back returned from the bank stating there was no such account. She was removed from the automatic paymet plan due to the returned payment and put on the standard 6 payment plan. So there have been an attempt of 4 payments only 3 that have successfully been paid. On 2/28/14 the account increased an additional $915 for failing to submit required documents. Two months later the insured submitted the doucments & the account was credited the full $-915.00 on 4/21/14. This brought the premium back to the original $1666.00. I have attached a copy of the insureds declaration page and also a list of the payments that have been made to date. You will also find attached the endorsment confirmations showing the increase and then credit. The insured currently has a balance of $708.92 not including any late fee or installment fee . IFA issued a cancellation notice effective 12:01 am on 8/5/14 due to the fact the insured has not made a payment since april and her earned premium runs out on 8/2/14. If the insured fails to make a minimum payment prior to 8/5/14 of $252.30 the policy will cancel. The policy should have been paid in full by 6/4/14 since the insured was on the standard 6 payment plan. Please contact me directly if you have any questions or concerns. I hope this clears up the complaint and you will see that there is no validity in the complaint. Thank you!

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: IFA has done nothing but confuse me since I bought out this policy. While caring for my mother who was dying, they had me running back and forth to send proof of registration, which I sent three times. They never sent an explanation stating I'd sent a copy of the old registration. They continued to up my rates and change my payment schedule. I would NEVER have submitted a bank account that didn't exist. Besides probably being illegal, it would be just plain stupid. That had to be an error on IFA's part. At that time, I kept checking the bank balance to see if the payment had been deducted, and couldn't understand why it hadn't been. Prior to July, the last piece of correspondence I received from IFA was a letter stating a credit had been issued to my account. I was so confused after all the conflicting bills and letters, I thought my overpayments had been applied to my policy, and I was paid in full. Since I filed with Revdex.com, IFA has changed the miniumum amount due. The letter I recently received states I have to pay over $700! The Revdex.com response states minimum payment is Two Hundred something, which I will pay prior to the 5th, as stated in letter. Or is it the 2nd, as stated in complaint response? I would like clarification as to the actual date. I am having a memorial for my mother in 3 days. I am clearing out her home, grieving, and sick myself. As stated previously, I can't start searching for letters, etc. right now, while taking care of my mother's matters and planning a memorial service. I am upset. MY MOTHER JUST DIED! I am going to mail payment of the $200 something just cited to Revdex.com by IFA in their response, and send a copy of payment to Revdex.com. I will mail both with "Return Receipt Requested", next week, after my mother's apartment is cleared out. Am I correct in assuming that this will complete my payments, and nothing else is due until January? Or is IFA again going to change the payment schedule, along with my payment amount? Please mail me an exact amount, date due, and future payment schedule. I can not begin to describe the undue stress and resulting physical pain this has caused me at a time when I was caring for a very sick woman, and now grieving her. ,

Regards,

Jeannin Verbert

In response to the complaint made by our insured [redacted] attached you will find proof that the policy is not paid in full. The policy effecitve dates are 1/4/14 to 1/14/15. The premium for one year is $1666.00. Todate [redacted] has made 4 payments. There was an attempt for a 5th payment however as you will see the attached its marked in red as the payment on 2/12/14 did not clear sucessfully. The current balance is $472.62. Attached you will find a copy of the complete payment history from inception to current, the declaration page & current cancellation notice. A cancellation notice was issued with a date of 9/23/14. The minimum payment needed to reinstate is $252.30 and it must be made prior to 9/23/14. Please review all of the attached in hopes that will clear up any and all misunderstandings. We have provided insurance and the rate was accepted by [redacted] and are rightfully owed the balance due. If you have any questions please contact us directly. Thank you very much!

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: I made at least one payment which has not been recorded. I am going to have to look through all of my records. It is doubly confusing, as I have 3 sets of payment stubs from IFA, all of which are backdated, and for different amounts. Additionally, I never received the $200 credit promised to me in May. I don't know why that February payment didn't clear. My car was buried in snow, it was freezing and icy outside, and I walked to the bank, at night, disabled, to deposit the money. The money disappeared, but I was never credited with that payment. I will have to pay this $252, until I find proof of payments. As stated previously, I'm clearing out my mother's home. We stayed at my home and her's intermittently, and 7 hospitals while she was dying, so receipts could be anywhere, and it could take a while. I can not afford to be hit, with no notice with car insurance payments. Initially, I was on an affordable 9 payment schedule. Then it was switched to four, and now IFA is stating those 4 payments, in addition to payments previously made, aren't enough. Am I to understand that after making this $252 payment, IFA will still want another $200? If that's the case, I'd like to know when, ahead of time, instead of simply receiving a cancellation notice. I will make this payment, but shop around for a different insurance company. IFA should've explained what happened last February, instead of raising my payments to $566 each. Then, I finally recieve a supposed credit, and that's forgotten. Why they put me through the frustration of having to send proof of registration 4 times has still been unanswered. Has IFA heard of "Customer Communication"?
