A tempered glass screen protector that was installed over the screen helps with damage but within reasonThe screen on the iPhone was completely damagedHad there simply been a defect (IE screen is not working correctly but is not cracked.)Sometimes an iPhone's frame can get bent as wellWe try
to bend the phone back to original shape, but it's only a best effort and we don't charge for itSometimes due to bends in the frame the screen protectors don't sit on the screen as well as we'd like however there is little we can do.Our warranty offered is the same warranty Apple itself providesHad she had Apple fix her phone and broke it the next day they would not replace it for free eitherIt's unfortunate it happened but it is out of our control (we're a small business, we can't send back a broken screen to our vendor and expect them to refund usThis screen was shattered. It's like getting into a fender bender, having the body shop fix the damage, then getting into another fender bender and taking the car back to the body shop and expecting them to fix the additional damage for freeWe cannot do thatWe do bend over backwards for customers who have issues but when it comes to accidental damage (even if it happens minutes after we fix it) there isn't anything we can doThis wasn't just one small crack, this screen was shatteredAnd we don't tell people they can do whatever they want with the screen because it has a tempered glass screen protector on it, we simply say that in most cases it helps the screen from breaking however not all the time and it's not a fool proof solution. So as much as we'd love to be sympathetic we can't give out free screens just because customers re-damage their phonesApple is the same wayAccidental damage is not covered

I am rejecting this response because:
It continues to amaze me that this business would rather ruin their reputation publicly by continuing to deny responsibility for the damage. You have seen the pictures, I used direct quotes from their own response in the last letter that they now deny, and continue to turn blame to others. I will not continue to banter back and forth, as my purpose was not to have a written sparring match, but to give this business an opportunity to make things right for their customers. Since that has not happened, please feel free to post these comments on your website, if that is the proper protocol at this time, so that others may benefit from making an informed decision about this business and let the chips fall where they may. I am not satisfied with the outcome completely, but if it helps someone else make a better decision about where to get service, then I feel there is some benefit from the circumstance

This response is laughable. We don't bend frames on iPhones while the screen is attached. Why would we install a screen then bend the phone after the fact? That's just asking for a phone to be damaged. The customer had no issue leaving with the phone. We would not have sent a screen out in that condition after we installed it and no customer would walk away with it looking like that. The right hand side of the screen doesn't work because not only did this customer break the screen but it went down to the digitizer as well (that's the glass between the LCD Screen and the outside glass that registers touch. What you don't see from the picture is that they removed the tempered glass (which is what was completely shattered) and the screen underneath it was also damaged. There are so many things that a customer can do to a phone once it leaves our shop but you can clearly see from the picture of the screen that something hit the phone near the ear speaker. Screens just don't spontaneously break and for a customer to claim that we broke the screen during an install is absolutely insane! I've heard some tall tales from children but even this one is beyond belief. This is simply a case of a customer breaking the screen after the fact then expecting us to replace it for free. That's all there is to it. No way it left our shop in that condition. The customer couldn't be bothered to wait for it to charge however it lit up fine and showed the charging symbol. There wouldn't have been any issue with the touch on the screen (and we would have gladly fixed it had there been) if not for breaking the screen after the fact.I can't believe the gal of someone to slander my business just because they can't admit they broke the phone shortly after getting it fixed. We have customers who break their phones after the fact and as long as they are up front about what happened we offer them a much decreased cost on a replacement screen as we understand accidents happen and we don't want anyone feeling bad about a situation, even if it is not our fault. However in this instance demanding we refund or replace the screen because it got broken after the fact is absolutely ridiculous. In closing, you know how I know we didn't damage the screen? No customer would have walked our of our office with a huge crack on the screen and furthermore we wouldn't have let them walk out with the screen cracked. The vendetta against our company is beyond words. I'm sure it won't end up stopping at this but we will continue to defend ourselves. We're a small business and there's no reason we should be treated this way because someone can't simply admit they broke their screen a 2nd time. (IE if you can break it the 1st time you can break it the 2nd.)
