Horrible, rude customer serviceThe owner is a disgruntled liarHe lied about his refund policy, and refuses to take blame for his mediocre workHe is not a good guy, and has an dishonest businessWhile we were on the phone he threatened to call the police and he talked over me and did not let me speak

I'm in the same line of work as [redacted], the owner, and can confirm that he is a major player in the industry. He carries only the finest quality parts and his stores set an example for many other stores across the country. If you have a complex board level problem on anything from a high end phone to laptop, he and his techs can get it fixed up. [redacted] himself is a guru at microscopic repairs so he isn't just the owner, he works in his stores every day. If you want real small-town customer service with some big city knowledge, iFixNC are the people to deal with in New Bern, Greenville, Havelock or Jacksonville. Don't settle for imitators, take your reissue to iFixNC.

I took my cell phone in to ifixnc to have the screen replaced. I had to take it back several times and because it was so badly damaged it is cracking.I brought my phone, LG G2, to have the screen replaced,Nov, 14, he said he had to order it and when it was fixed he would call. Nov 21 I went to go pick my phone up. I soon realized that the adhesive was not sticking properly and Nov 23 I called and spoke to someone who said they were going to put it in some clamps for a few hours and it would be ready. When I got it back I noticed the adhesive still wasn't sticking so I called Nov 28 and they said they were going to try some different adhesive and it would only take 15 minutes so me and my son waited and when he handed me my phone the screen was broken. Not the glass part but the actual screen part under the glass so I showed him and he had to have someone form Newbern come and bring him a new screen to replace the one he just broke and he told me it would be ready in a few hours. By the time I got my phone back it was so badly damaged the frame has gaps, there is adhesive sticking out of one corner and what looks like glue seeping out the other but since the screen was fixed I wasn't going to take it back until I realized that since there is so much crud under and around the screen it wont set in the frame properly and it is causing the screen to crack. When I took the phone back the man acted like I had dropped it and he called it an "impact crack" but I told the man I had not dropped it and he told me the only way he is going to fix it is if I pay another $63 dollars for the screen and I told him that I'm not paying for another screen when it is his fault the screen is broken.Desired SettlementI originally wanted them to fix my phone but when I took my phone to another shop to be fixed I was told that the phone is so badly damaged that they don't even want to try and work on it and I do not trust their business and since I am going to have to buy a new phone completely I would just like my money back or for them to pay for a new phone. Business Response /[redacted]/The customer described the situation very well, all the way up until about half way through. Yes, we had to order a part, yes the adhesive did not hold as intended and yes when a repair of the adhesive was attempted, the LCD was cracked when trying to remove it. We did replace the LCD for the customer at no cost as we did crack it. We do take responsibility for our mistakes. The customer did return a few days later with a cracked screen on the phone and claimed that the adhesive expanded to cause a pressure crack in the screen. When we get a cracked screen and the customer is looking to get it replaced under warranty, we do look the phone over to check for any signs of abuse or neglect that may have caused the damage to the part. In this instance, the crack looked very much like it was dropped because the glass was shattered instead of a single crack like pressure would cause as the customer said was the case. Pictures were taken both with a camera and under magnification to show that the screen was in fact shattered, also showing the damage to the frame of the phone where it was dropped. When the customer was shown this, he stated that it was a coincidence that the frame was damaged exactly where the glass was shattered. He also stated that the phone was in a case when this happened, but the phone was not in a case when it was brought into the store any time. After we told the customer that the screen cannot be repaired under warranty, We did offer to replace the screen at our cost of $63, but the customer repeatedly said that "there was no way he was going to pay for our "[redacted]" and continued to use other foul language with other customers present. After stating this to the customer, he continued to berate the technicians, the business and the owner, stating that he would "make sure that everyone knows about this."The other shop more than likely refused to repair the phone because, as the customer stated in the last visit, the "phone has been dropped a lot and beat to [redacted]."We have offered to resolve this for the customer and meet in the middle. The customer declined and we have not heard from the customer since. Please review the attached pictures and see that the crack on the screen of this phone is a shatter cause from an impact, not a simple crack caused from pressure.Consumer Response /[redacted]/The whole reason I brought my phone to him in the first place was because it fell off the roof of my car and the screen broke so he obviously knows there was damage to the frame before he replaced the screen. There is no way the damage from before he handled it caused the screen to crack after he gave it back. The crack on my screen is from the negligence of the man who fixed my phone. He did not set the screen in place properly which has caused the screen to be more vulnerable than it should and thebcrack on the phone came from pressure on the screen NOT from a fall. If He wouldn't have put glue in my phone or had adhesive sticking out the sides than the screen wouldn't not have cracked like it did. I know I did not drop my phone and cause it to crack but regardless of the fact,he still damaged the phone and did an improper job fixing it. He should be the one to fix it. He obviously doesn't know what he is doing cause I have had to take my phone back several times and its still not fixed properly. The other business said they have had several people coming in to have phones re-fixed cause of his negligence in the past and that because of the glue seeping out of it and the frame being bent out of shape they didn't want to have to rip my phone to pieces just to try and fix it. Final Business Response /[redacted]/The customer brought in a phone that was damaged again as shown in the pictures. The glass was shattered, not cracked. We cannot replace a screen or an entire phone for free due to neglect on the customers part. We did offer to replace the screen at the cost of the part and the customer has refused.

Nov 1 2013 I got a quote for $100 to replace cracked screen on Samsung Note 2 phone.$50 for glass $50 for labor. I paid $50 for down payment and ordered screen.Nov 8 2013 Took phone in for repair. A one hour job turned into 2 hour wait. ifixnc employee finally come and told me the wrong adhesive was sent with my glass and my phone would not come on. The screen looked like it had a screen protector on it that was bubbled up. He had spent the last hour trying to dry the adhesive and it would not work. He said he had to order another glass and adhesive but he needed for me to pay the $30 fee. I argued with him that it was not my responsibility to pay, but finally I agreed because right then I did not have a working phone.Nov 12 2013 I got a call that the new screen was inNov 13 2013 Picked up phone and I paid $50 for labor and $30 delivery fee on new screen ( $30 do not think I owe) Phone worked fineNov 14 2013 Woke up to a black screen and phone would not come on. Took phone back to store at 10am for repair. Told me he would call when it was ready and I never got that call. I called late afternoon and he said ," oh yeah its ready" So I went at 5:00 to pick up and first thing I done was hit the power button. Nothing happened, it was a black screen. He said it was working!!!!! He took the back off and took out some screws and squeezed the power button and it worked. so he put the back on and it quit again. I asked was it a bad part he installed and He said this cannot be a bad screen I installed or the screen would not come on at all. He said he asked the owner and he said the same thing. He took the back off again, removed screws and fiddled with it a while and it finally come on. It acted as if there was a loose wire and he was doing all he could do to fix it. He got it to come on again by leaving out 2 screws beside the power button. I told him if it quit again I would be back asking for my money back. He said he understood. Nov15 phone quit, asked for refund.he said noProduct_Or_Service: Samsung Galaxy Note 2Desired SettlementI spent $130 in this store to replace a cracked screen on my phone. Instead I am left with a phone with a black screen that no longer works. I was never told by any employee at this store that replacing a screen may result in a broken phone that will not work.If I was told this I would never have replaced the screen. I would like $175 which is what it costed me to replace my phone. Business Response /[redacted]/Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX XXX XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@ifixnc.comThe customer was told if she brought the items back by so the iFixNC could remove the installed parts that she could have a full refund. She refused to bring the parts by, so iFixNC refused her refund.Final Consumer Response /[redacted]/I had a working phone prior to coming to your store and a very small cracked screen. You replaced the screen but broke the phone in the process so it no longer makes calls. I paid you $130 to do this. Now, you want to remove the new screen and replace it with a cracked one and the phone does not work!!! so I leave with a non working, cracked screen, and the same amount of money I give you? That is crazy!! You owe me a new phone. Final Business Response /[redacted]/Craziness it is not. This is a business and like any other business, you will receive a refund for what you spent. The phone can easily be repaired, but the customer has chosen not to bring it back. Ifixnc will stand firm on the decision of a full refund upon the return of the parts.

He is not a good guy, and has an dishonest business. While we were on the phone he threatened to call the police and he talked over me and did not let me speak.
