Alex (the president of the company) came out explained the entire process to me and the system they installed is in my opinion, just the bestThe crew was on time each day and with every step, they were there to answer any questions I hadThis company is highly recommended to anyone looking for a new roofA job well done!
A HORRIBLE experience? In no way, shape, or form! But hopefully I got your attention so I could share a little, or a lot of, information on Certified RoofersI am sure that anyone looking for a roof replacement who has no experience in contracting, approaches the task with a lot of apprehension At least I know my family did Estimates are easy to get, and I was surprised how a few were so close in numbers BUT not so close in explaining exactly what they would do for their estimate, and exactly what would be done and what materials would be used, and charged or not charged for As an example, would all necessary plywood and fascia replacement be included or not, and if not what would the costs be
However it is not just the bottom line figure that counts Who of us actually climbs up on their own roof to fully understand what needs to be done, or was done when a job is finished? My point being, that trust in the individual you are dealing with and trust in the company as an entity is most important
Eddie, from his first "sales pitch" (which I must say was professional, detailed, and backed up with educational materials as to products to be used) is the "MAN"There is not one aspect of his proposal, and ultimate work order/contract that was not fully explained, adhered to, and performed in an extremely professional manner
Others came close to the dollar amount, and it was significant....at least to us as it was in the high teens BUT, Eddie addressed every aspect of a re-roof, from rip off, to wood replacement, to underlayment, to ridge vents, to clean up
Every single thing he said would be done was! There were no surprises, no unexpected additional costs, and no mistakes In fact, after we had agreed on a contract price, Certified stepped up and absorbed the labor costs to remove and replace several existing skylightsThey also got me a better deal on pricing than I was able to obtain, and took care of delivery etc
The job took one full week The crew of displayed a work ethic that I found to be exceptionalThey worked non stop except for a much deserved lunch break, and were polite, respectful of our property, and careful They policed our property daily at days end, did not BLARE their music at a crazy decibel, did not holler, cuss, or act rudely When you have a group of neighbors all on our small cul de sac comment on how they hardly knew a job was going on, and how professional the work crew was, and how awesome the final product looks, Certified and its people are definitely doing something right
Oh yeah, the final, as well as the already mentioned daily clean up was perfect I think we found one (1) nail off to the side of the driveway It was hard to tell they had been here except for the fact that we now have a beautiful, new roof that we are completely satisfied with
I know this is long winded However, I strongly feel that when a project of this size, and cost, and of such importance is about to be undertaken by any homeowner, the more info you are provided by a bidding contractor, and the more you research your options, the happier you will be in the long run
As to our project, we could not be happier I would simply say to Certified Roofers and General Contractors, that if they ever need a reference, or would like someone to comment on their business methods, their proposal presentations, and their work ethics, they should feel free to call upon us
As glowing as this review is, let me be clear that I had never met Eddie prior to this project, and have absolutely no affiliation with Certified or any of their employees Nor was I compensated in any way for my writing of this review They are just that damned good!

I found this company to be outstanding and an excellent choice. Having formerly been a roofer in Chicago, I know the difference between a "good" and "great" roofing firm and clearly Certified Roofers is in the latter category. They were timely, honest, quick, professional and completed a difficult job with quality work. Additionally, they performed great carpentry on the large sections of fascia that was rotting on my roof and needed to be replaced. The work was so seamless that you can hardly tell which sections were replaced with new versus original wood. They are a wonderful, caring, family-owned business who puts their name behind their work.
We had a wonderful experience with the Certified Roofers team from start to finish. They were very caring and interested in our satisfaction. I was very nervous about hiring a roofing company but they were very easy to work with and helpful every step of the way. I would recommend this company to anyone who was searching for a quality driven roofing company.
