Mrs. [redacted] bought a 99 Ford Mustang with 187,000 miles from IJN Automotive. Mrs. [redacted] called IJN and said that there was a leak and asked if I knew of a mechanic that could help. I told her that I had used [redacted] before and that [redacted] is usually very reasonable and dependable. Even with the year...

and miles of the Mustang, IJN included a 6 month 6,000 mile limited power train warranty through ASC Warranty. IJN places this warranty on all cars sold, even with our older higher miles cars. The ASC Warranty is sold as catastrophic insurance and does not cover basic seals. I assumed that [redacted] would be fair with his pricing. Mrs. [redacted] however had a problem with [redacted] and I was told by him that she became very aggressive, using foul language, and threatening towards him. She then called me, using the same language, and began to threaten me with legal action saying that [redacted] was my business. I told her that IJN has absolutely no ownership of [redacted]. She continued threatening me with legal action and using language that was offensive because of her issues with [redacted]. I finally had to stop responding to her because she would not accept that [redacted] was in no way owned by IJN and that I could not control or warrant their work.

IJN has worked diligently with this customer. We paid $340 on Sept 15th to cover the portion of the starter repair that the warranty did not cover. Then we paid another $721.12 on Sept 27th to cover a brake issue that t customer said was needed. Brakes are not covered under the...

warranty and yet we paid the bill with no questions asked. Then the customer called me back and said that he needed another $1000 to cover an oil pan, which is approximately $100 repair my cost. It is at this time that I became suspicious and denied any further payment to cover repairs. IJN provided a warranty as we do with all customers, we paid over $1000 to cover repairs that we could not verify were needed because the customer is in KY. We have been more than fair with this customer and I honestly believe that he is trying to take advantage of our generosity and there is a point when you have to put an end to it.Brad S[redacted], Owner IJN Automotive

IJn is making efforts to make situation right by agreeing to pay for repairs needed to the vehicle which was purchased.

IJN has attempted to work with this consumer; we also provided a warranty through ASC. The warranty was clearly explained and signed by the consumer as paying up to $1000 on engine and transmission repairs. An internal coolant line burst roughly 45 days into ownership and ASC paid $1000 towards the...

repair, as was fully disclosed that they would at the time of sale. The consumer informed IJN that they had received a quote from BMW that was in the $7000 range. IJN recommended a mechanic that we use who services BMW’s, and this mechanic saved them over $5000 from the repair being conducted at the BMW dealership. This was only a recommendation to the consumer. IJN in no way ever implied or demanded that they use this particular vendor. This mechanic was suggested in an attempt to save the consumer on the cost of repair. IJN also provided a rental car at no expense to this consumer while their car was being repaired.       IJN also paid $1000 of repairs towards 2 front struts that cost approximately $1700 to replace. Only one strut was faulty, yet IJN picked up the majority of the cost for two. The consumer did pay $500 of this repair and they were also provided a free loaner car during this repair as well. IJN had absolutely no knowledge of an internal coolant leak. If such a leak was present at the time of the sale of this car it would have showed such an issue and there would have been an overwhelming smell of anti-freeze. No such things were present at the time of sale.
