We waited business days after his call and on 1/6/we instructed our accountant to put a stop payment on the check and mailed a new one to him
In summary, we processed and mailed the first check days after receiving his receipt, then stopped payment and mailed the second check days after learning that the first check was not received
It is likely that the first check was not delivered because, in error, we mailed it to his home address instead of his post office boxWe apologized for this mistake, but feel these timeframes were reasonable, particularly in the midst of the holiday season
