Review: We have a construction contract to rebuild one car standalone garage. I already paid 75% of the total cost, and the contractor only completed framing. Most of the works have not been started: Concrete floor, Install window, Install door, install roof, install brick wall, electric work, Sheetrock work and install motion lighting etc.

The contractor stop working, and claiming that he has to build 8" concrete floor. Since the contract only covers 4" concrete floor, he want us to pay additional $2400. If we don't agree to pay that amount, he will not continue to work on anything else. $2400 is very expensive for additional 4' of 12 by 20 area.

The material of additional 4" concrete only costs less than $400, and there is very little labor cost, since the original 4' concrete covers removing existing concrete.

I offered him $800 to cover all the material for 8', but he didn't agree.

The contract states that the project will completed in 4 weeks after the project started. The project started on 7/*/2015, the contractor is late,
