+1

I have responded to Mr*** directly and have resolved the issue I returned the call to Mr*** on 1/27/ I apologized for not returning his December call in which I was out ill and was clearly a lack of communication to me on our end Mr*** provided his insurance
when checking in for the appointment on 6/2/ The chestaff did question his vision coverage due to the insurance card stating "Dental Identification Card" with no indication of vision coverage Although, the 6/2/claim was submitted electronically to the insurance on 6/3/ I called the insurance to verify coverage and was informed they do have a vision benefit on this plan The insurance did not process our claim because the benefit agreement states the member must pay the provider and insurance will reimburse the member I made Mr*** aware of how his vision plan worked I offered Mr*** a prompt pay discount for the miscommunication The discount is a "prompt pay" and the adjustment is made when payment is received I mailed a statement of the charges as well as the insurance claim form for Mr*** to provide to his insurance for reimbursement I also notified the collection agency to remove this account and confirmed there are no adverse aspects involved on his account or rating This has been resolved with payment in full by Mr*** with the prompt pay discount Thank you

Mrs.[redacted] was provided services at Illinois Eye Center on 8/25/16 for a routine vision exam. Charges were billed to her insurance. Her insurance processed and paid her claim according to her benefits. The remaining balance after insurance was...

billed to Mrs. [redacted]. On 9/19/16, Mrs. [redacted] called Illinois Eye Center requesting Illinois Eye Center to adjust her balance or give her a "deal" on her amount due after insurance. Mrs. [redacted] was informed we cannot give her a discount on her balance after insurance. A payment plan was offered to Mrs. [redacted] and she was encouraged to contact her insurance if she felt they should have paid more. All other insurance questions were answered and Mrs. [redacted] indicated she understood. If there are any unanswered questions remaining, please contact me at XXX XXX XXXX x2747.
Thanks

I apologize for the misunderstanding and welcome Mrs. [redacted] to call me directly with any billing questions. Illinois Eye Center does strive to offer the best service to our patients. It was never our intent or would we ever reject a patient for inquiring on their bill. I reviewed the call made by Mrs. [redacted] to our office on 9/19/16 and I believe there was miscommunication due to a language barrier. Illinois Eye Center did not suggest "no more appointments". Mrs. [redacted] was explaining she had lasik surgery in the past and said "I don't dare to go to eye center again". I believe this comment was misunderstood by the Illinois Eye Center representative. Once again, I apologize for the miscommunication and welcome Mrs. [redacted] to contact me directly with any questions.
