I am writing to express my sincere discontent with Illumagen's business practices First, I found it disconcerting that when I placed my initial order (on May 9) for the free trial, the eye remedy was added onI accept that that was my own fault for not finding the tiny little text at the very bottom that said I could skip that step and instead clicking on the large button that said "continue" (which I find incredibly misleading as it did not say "order" or anything like that and indicated in large print that my previous order was not complete yet...leading people to believe that they needed to "continue") Second, when I just now called within the day trial period to cancel my account, I was informed that I could not do so without sending back any leftover product at my own expense plus paying a restocking feeWhen I pointed out to [redacted] (the customer service representative I spoke with at 10:12am MST today, May 20), that this was not specified in the terms and conditions (which I had plainly in front of me and which I had read before agreeing), she indicated that that was still the policyI argued that I could not be held to a policy that I did not agree to and that I would not have agreed to the policy she just shared(I'm fairly positive, by the way, that contract law favors my argument...if I'm remembering my contract law classes from Duke Law at all.) She said that I couldInstead, she said, she would do me the "favor" of extending my trial period another daysFor whatever reason, she said, if I called back before the end of *that [redacted] period, I would be able to simply cancel the accountI asked for clarification as to whether I needed, then, to call back *on [redacted] June or *by [redacted] June She said just not later than June I asked whether I could then just call back tomorrowShe said noThis is ridiculous While I understand that this is likely just the script that [redacted] has been given (so decided not to pursue things further with her), I find this business practice deplorable and want to make sure others are aware of this business' policies, since they fail to make them known up front

Fraudulent advertising on facebook- scam that signs you up for and locks you into repeating monthly charges (over $160/month) for the creams Teaser ad is misleading: sign up for "free trial" pay only $for S&H - no way to "X" out of ordering the eye cream with the skin cream, as the pop up window would NOT allow you to close itContrary to customer rep's scripted answers "our policy is clear on our website' - there WAS NO POLICY on the FB ad I have disputed the repeating months of charges with my CC company

This company hides it's "terms of service" in small print at the bottom of the page They are not proud enough of their business practices to state in obvious print, as any reputable company would do, the actual price of their product I became aware of the charge to my credit card today (10/9/16) and my husband called on my behalf to cancel further orders Reference #*** by Employee #***I will accept no further shipments or products

This company used advertising to hook people on their trial offer, then they rush you a shipment after you cancel your account They do this so you have to pay for their "non refundable" products, which they never tell you the cost of to start!! When I called to complain the customer service rep *** was difficult and not helpful, neither was her manager ***! They basically ended up lying to me to get me off the phone! I realized this checking my account and their promised refund was not even close to the amount it was suppose to be to cover the two products they were trying to scam me for!!!

Due to no cancellation the autoship program took effect. The following month, on 09/27/2016 the customer was charged again for both products in the amount of $94.94 for the Illumagen Skin, $91.94 for the Illumagen Eye, and shipped out two more products.Customer had contacted our Customer Service on 09/30/2016 and requested for the subscription to be cancelled. We immediately granted the request and cancelled the account.Customer then requested a refund.Our Customer Service had issued a full refund of $94.94 for the Illumagen Skin and a full refund of $91.94 for the Illumagen Eye charged on 09/27/2016 which the customer accepted.However we feel our customers concerns and do apologize for the inconvenience, thus we will be providing the remaining refund of $89.97 for the Illumagen Skin and $85.97 for the Illumagen Eye charged on 08/27/2016.
