I am rejecting this response because:
I am so shocked to her the salon's replyWhen I left the salon, yes I was happy with my purchaseI had told the lady who had helped me that I had never bought a wig before and she was tell me how to properly care and handle the pieceWhen I checked out, I was NEVER told verbally that it was un-returnable, nor did I see ANY signI was happy when I left the salonBy the time I drove home the wig was a matted mess in the backI couldn't believe it for the price I paid the quality was that bad that it was a rats nestThere was no way I could wear this on a daily basis for long periods of timeI had called the salon immediatly when I got home and I went right to voice mailI left a message on Saturday, a mesage on MondayAnd that was when I decided to cancel the checkThe salon never contacted me or returned my call until he deposited the check after I had left him a message that I was cancelling itHe didn't call me until he learned from his bank that the check was cancelledWhen we spoke, all he kept saying was I want my money, I want my moneyIt wasn't until three phone conversations later that he offered to cut the wig, I told him it wasn't a style issue, it was a quality issue and that cutting it wasn't going to change thatThat's when he notified me that wigs are unreturnableI rebut his statement that I already knew thatI am not a thiefI paid for a wig that you can not wearIt turns into a matted mess in the backI can't wear thatWhy on earth would I pay for a wig that I couldn't wear! All I want the salon to do was make good on a bad product and return itHe could send it back to the manufactorer and rebut the product on that levelYou don't treat a customer like this

I am responding to the above complaint.  This person purchased a wig from my shop on 8/2/14 and was verbally told they were not returnable,  as well as it is posted at the checkout, and it is on every receipt. When she wore the wig out of the shop, she was very happy,...

wigs are also not returnable per connecticut state law, a fact she also knew. When I recieved her call on the voice mail, I tried to reach her for several days, and l left a message with her husband. When I did speak to her, I told her the wig could be cut and styled at no charge, she just kept saying she wanted to return it. I repeatedly told her thats not possible, but would be happy to help with the styling of it.
I was unaware that as we spoke, she had already canceled the payment.
The financial impact of this crime has been great. as I see it, it was theft.
She repeatedly says she dosent want this to go into legal hands, but she has the wig and the money, I am not the thief here, id be happy to turn this over to an attorney.  If she couldent afford the item, she shouldent of bought it , please advise these people, to stay out of stores they cant afford to shop in. I have sold wigs for 30 years, and never had a "quality" issue, and if she felt it wasn't up to her standards, she was under NO obligation to buy it. She now has to live with the fact she stole from another person, and her bad financial decisions impacted another person and family. This behavior should not be rewarded. She will have a hard time passing bad checks around here from now on.
