Illustration House

Review: This is my SECOND complaint against Illustration House. The first one involved a lack of communication and NO contract regarding the auction of two of my [redacted] original head studies. After nearly a year of the artwork being in their possession, thanks to Revdex.com support, I finally received acknowledgment that they indeed had the artwork and a contract stating their fees and intent to sell them. I reluctantly signed the contract because they said the artwork was scheduled to be presented in a new San Diego auction on July ** - **, 2013. Shortly thereafter on July **, 2013 I received an email from [redacted] Registrar, that said, "I wanted to let you know we wore (sic) able to sell both of your [redacted] works in San Diego for $2200 minus commission of 25% for a net of $1650 each." (A total of $3300.) The following email from [redacted] stated, "The check will go our (sic) in the next 7-14 days." That would be August 1 - *, 2013. To inquire the status of the check, on Friday, September *, 2013 I called the Administration Assistant, [redacted], on her cell phone as I was not getting any response from using the company phone number. She explained that they were "....low on funds and cannot pay at this time....but Roger is having two sales coming up in the next two weeks and we should have the funds at that time. I'll call you when the check is ready and will over-night it to you. You are near the top of the list." Today, October *, 2013 I tried to reach Illustration House and [redacted] to no avail.Desired Settlement: I would like payment of $3300. for the sale of the artwork of the two original head studies by [redacted]. The artwork had been in the possession of Illustration House since June **, 2012.
