This customer purchased a full extended warranty on the vehicle and then cancelled it two days after purchasing it...The warranty would have covered the repairs however that was through a third party company the customer bought the car just like every used car sold is as is I`m sorry he is experiencing problems but there is nothing we can do for him

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The vehicle I purchased from the business was mechanically unsoundIt suffered a major, expensive mechanical failure within weeks of being purchasedThe warranty that was never activated and never returned (according to the warranty company and my financial institution) gives no grantees that the warranty they sell would cover said problemPrior to being bought home the car was sold to me as being in mechanically sound conditionI'm demanding some restitution for the costs of the vehicle's repairsThis didn't happen months to year or even years away from the purchase date, it happened in weeks and dayThat's how long the vehicle lasted Sincerely, [redacted] ***

After further conversations with Mr [redacted] We both came to an agreement and this issue has been resolved

I would like to apologize for the experience this customer has hadThat being said all of our vehicles pass safety and emissions before selling them to a customer and are inspected by third party companiesAttached is paperwork showing he was offered and declined warrantyAlso the gentleman
traded in a vehicle that had all kinds of problems that weren't disclosed to usAnd for the record I`m not sure how or why *** would have said he worked for my company for years when My company has only been in business for years and that is public informationAgain I`m sorry for the troubles that they have had but my company did nothing wrong hereAlso the customer was very matter of fact that he didn't need the warranty because he was just using the vehicle for hunting and that he could fix anything on the vehicle himselfMy company will not be offering any kind of refund to this customer as we have told them when they came up to our lot

I would be extremely frustrated with this situation as well.  Please know that we are here to help you with your issues.  We have not heard from you until now since you purchased your vehicle 5 ½ months ago.  We had no idea you had any troubles and would have loved to help all along...

the way.  Since you came and saw us this week, we have contacted 1. the company who installed your engine, 2. the parts company where your new engine came from, and 3. the warranty company.  There is a warranty from the parts company and our shop should be able to get fixed under the warranty.  Again, we truly want to help you out. 
We do want you to know that if we see a problem before we sell a vehicle, we fix it or we disclose it clearly to the customer beforehand.  The last thing we want is a situation like this.  Whatever the employee at Boise Automotive said to you about “masking defects” was pure speculation and entirely inappropriate.  Boise Automotive knows better than anyone that when they see a problem and present it to us, we fix it.  We never pass problems on to a customer.
I would truly appreciate the opportunity to get this car to Boise Automotive and get it fixed correctly for you.  The warranty company has already agreed to allow us to diagnose the issue and repair it.  Please contact us at your earliest convenience to set an appointment.

You came and bought a vehicle traded in a vehicle with a loan on it that we paid off. By the time the bank realized you lied on your application you were in Florida and we had to take the vehicle back because we could not get paid from the...

bank on the vehicle you purchased and we had already paid your vehicle off. So you are correct you are not entitled to a refund of your deposit because your lying on the application is what made the deal fall through. However you are entitled to the warranty refund I have not spoke to you one time about this refund and I `m the one who issues the refunds.

The customer is correct the vehicle was purchased on that date and the vehicle was delivered with a valid safety inspection at time of delivery but the inspection expired couple days before customer received his title. The customer is correct the vehicle had a issue the same day and as you can see...

by the receipt I have attached we promptly took care of it and paid for the repair. The customer then put 1,600 miles on the vehicle in 20 days and went to get the vehicle re inspected because the inspection had expired. The vehicle then failed inspection for one bad ball joint. We again paid for the bad ball joint to pass inspection at the shop that originally inspected unit. The customer wanted us to use his parts discount from [redacted] auto parts to order the parts. I did not feel comfortable with this so I told customer to use the shop that originally inspected the unit. The customer also then requested that we give him money back for repairs he had completed himself. I declined because none of the issues were discussed or checked out by a shop he said he repaired them himself. The customer also stated that he was mad because his friends told him he paid 2k to much for the truck which he did not he paid market value for vehicle. All repair receipts and original inspections and checkout form from shop are attached. I feel I have made my best effort to make this customer happy I do not believe he will be happy unless I take truck back and refund him all money he claims to have spent on truck. The vehicle I purchased from the business was mechanically unsound. It suffered a major, expensive mechanical failure within 3 weeks of being purchased. The warranty that was never activated and never returned (according to the warranty company and my financial institution) gives no grantees that the warranty they sell would cover said problem. Prior to being bought home the car was sold to me as being in mechanically sound condition. I'm demanding some restitution for the costs of the vehicle's repairs. This didn't happen 6 months to 1 year or even 2 years away from the purchase date, it happened in 2 weeks and 1 day. That's how long the vehicle lasted.

We did agree to have the noise repaired at a third party shop. The rear end was replaced and it passed safety and emission inspection.

what was allowed. We told this to the customer and he became irate. The police was called and the customer was instructed to not contact the business anymore.

What you are saying doesn't make sense. When you buy a car from my business you are sat down with the finance guy and he goes over line by line the contract in which you have to sign off on. The reason the finance company nor my company will do anything is because you were explained everything line...

by line and no questions were raised at the time of sale. We do not have a return policy. You looked at many different vehicles that night I`m sorry if you got confused. My company only pays late fees if we are at fault which in this case we are not. You were given the title and paperwork needed to plate the vehicle
